ToyFarce News: Toy Collector Elevates Unboxing Experience by Pairing "Thematically Appropriate Snacks" for Maximum Nostalgia!

In what experts are calling "the next evolution of collecting", local toy collector Dave has taken his unboxing rituals to a whole new level by carefully pairing each figure with a matching food item to "fully immerse himself in the nostalgia". Genius or insane? ToyFarce investigated... 

"It just makes sense!" explained Dave while preheating his oven. "If I’m opening Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures, I’m having a pizza. That’s just respect, that’s world-building!"

Dave says the idea came to him after realizing that simply opening toys no longer delivered the same emotional rush it once did. "You get older, you chase that feeling... so I thought, what if I also engaged my taste buds in the memory?"

Since then, his collection room has slowly transformed into what can only be described as a cross between a display shelf and a small food court:
Opening the Boss Fight Studios Garfield figure? Lasagna Pizza. 
Unboxing a Nacelle Toys Biker Mice from Mars figure? A hot dog, obviously.
A Playmates Star Trek Jean Luc Picard action figure? I'll have it with a nice cup of tea. Earl Grey. Hot.
Mattel Jurassic Park figures? "Chicken. It’s the closest thing to dinosaur we’ve got..."

With the huge popularity of 'mukbang' videos, where people are eating a meal in front of a camera and getting millions of views (!), and toy unboxing videos, where people are opening a toy in front of a camera and getting... hundreds of views (!), it wouldn't take too long before Dave decided to start livestreaming his unboxing/meals.

"Some days I don’t feel like unboxing anything..." he added. "But then I think, 'man, I could really go for a donut...' and suddenly, I’m browsing my shelf for anything Simpsons related to open!"

"I did consider going full method for the Mondo JAWS vinyl figure..." he admitted, "... but the police might have asked too many questions..."
