Skeletron Red Shadows 6" Figures - Wolf Trooper, Jungle Wolf Trooper, Gyre Wolf and Pilot Character Kit Review and Images

It's Wednesday and you know what that means: ToyFarce review!

This week, we're having a look at the Red Shadows 6" figures from Skeletron, to go with the Roboskull MkII! 3 different figures: the Wolf Trooper, the Jungle Wolf Trooper and the Gyre Wolf + a Pilot Character Kit which allows you to turn the Wolf Trooper in 3 other different figures.

Last year, we reviewed the Roboskull MkII vehicle, alond with a few of the 4" figures (Review can be found here). The Skeletron team had announced that the line would have 4" figures, but also 6" figures, so you can choose which scale you want to collect. We called the Roboskull MkII the most EPIC toy ever, and if you don't believe us, it says it right there on their website!

First, the Wolf Trooper, which is your basic troop figure. The Wolf Trooper comes with a removable helmet, 3 pairs of hands (trigger hands, grip hands and fists), a ray gun, an assault rifle with 2 removable magazines, 2 grenades that can be attached to the belt, 2 combat claws, a jet pack, a blast effect for the guns and a stand. All 3 figures are using the same mold and accessories, and Skeletron got creative and made them all different enough. The Wolf Trooper is in red and black. Those figures have really decent articulations, including butterfly joints, drop-down hips, biceps and thigh swivels,... and can move very nicely.

The Jungle Wolf Trooper comes with all the same accessories as the Wolf Trooper, except he is all in green camo. That figure looks awesome, it's probably my favorite of the set. I like to imagine that he's going berserk with those combat claws when doing missions in some forests. I love that the figures can carry most of their accessories, with the combat claws that can be attached to the jetpack, the gun that can be attached to the leg, and the helmet on the head.

Gyre Wolf comes with the same accessories as the others, plus 2 extra heads (normal and translucent blue) and a translucent blue stand (or Gyre-effect figure stand). This one seems to be more of a character, who "pursues hidden data, esoteric histories, and occult artifacts to unlock secrets and leverage power", and he seems to be able to go through portals. His armor is all black and shiny silver (which I imagine is not really the best for undercover missions).

The Pilot Character Kit comes with parts so that you can turn your Wolf Trooper into either the pilot Blood Wolf (head, helmet and chest armor), Red Weasel (head, helmet and chest armor) or a Robonaut (head and armor). There is also a thumbs up hand, a pointing hand a cup of tea, along with a ray gun, a rifle, 2 magazines and a couple of effects for the guns. This is a pretty smart kit, because you can make multiple characters with it. I turned a Wolf Trooper into the Blood Wolf, so that I could compare them with the 4" versions that I got with the Roboskull MkII last year.

As mentioned in the Roboskull MkII review, the ship came with 2 different pilot seats, for 4" or 6" figures, which is pretty clever. You can choose to display it with either scale. I do like to use the 4" ones, since it means that the ship is bigger, but the 6" do fit very nicely in it as well. Decisions, decisions... Would you use the 4" or the 6" figures with it? Let us know in the comments!

There are still a few figures on the horizon, including the main villain, Skeletron himself (which I did grab during the Kickstarter, along with a nice hardcover book) that still remain to be released, and I'm sure the team at Skeletron are cooking up a ton of nice things for us in the future. A huge thank you to them for sending those figures over!

More news at 11:00... No, for real... did I mention the Roboskull MkII is the most EPIC toy ever?
