Hasbro, a leading games, IP and toy company, today announced a new licensing collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios to produce action figures, toys and roleplay for the studio’s upcoming live-action Voltron movie.

The upcoming Voltron film is directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, with the story written by Rawson Marshall Thurber and the screenplay by Ellen Shanman & Rawson Marshall Thurber.

The film will feature a talented cast, including Henry Cavill, Sterling K. Brown, Alba Baptista, Rita Ora and more. Producers include Todd Lieberman via Hidden Pictures, Bob Koplar, Rawson Marshall Thurber, and Hobie Films’ David Hoberman.

I'm hoping for 6-inch Pilots from the classic show.....and villains. IF the movie does well.

A 1/18th scale toy line would be my dream. 3.75 - 4 inch pilots that fit inside lion robots or vehicles
now that would have been better than the failed Tron HasLab

Hmmm, Kinda cool actually, If they had Cartoon Accurate suits, it would be pretty cool to get some 6'' Pilot figures, which I'd be all into having, would I rather Cartoon based? of course, but if these might look anything close, or at least neat looking I might be interested.

Interesting.  I can't imagine the reveal of the design of the lions would be at Toy Fair and not in a trailer or other promotional material straight from Amazon/MGM.  But I'm intrigued by the prospect of new Voltron toys.

Toys frequently spoil movies. It's why when I cared about Star Wars, I avoided looking at Toy Fair or SDCC or other Hasbro releases related to Star Wars toys.

I didn't know there's a REAL movie coming up since a lot of people are playing with fake trailers and such... I would like to see the toys and watch the movie at the cinema.  Can we finally get a line with a lot of villians like that 3D cartoon from years ago?😀💡👍

I had totally forgotten this was happening, I'm so happy we're getting toys! I kinda hoped I'd eventually find Dreamworks' Voltron at an affordable price, but not yet. Maybe this will scratch that itch

It's definitely real  Henry Cavil and Sterling K Brown are staring and have spoken about it in numerous videos.

Given the way most legacy franchises seem to go, it would be surprising if there wasn't a nostalgia companion line of some sort. If they didn't do something like the cartoon-based Dungeons & Dragons line that came out at the same time as the Honor Among Thieves movie, or even Playmate's Voltron line that tied into the Netflix series (thought that was just the lions rather than the pilots), they'd really be leaving money on the table.
