Hasbro has announced they will be doing products based on the upcoming new Street Fighter live-action movie which opens in theaters on October 16, 2026. The press release only mentions movie products so those wonder about Jada or Storm Collectibles, I don't think this will have any baring on those licenses. See the entire press release below. We will likely learn more about this during the New York Toy Fair which begins on February 14th.

Hasbro, a leading games, IP and toy company, today announced a new licensing partnership with Legendary Entertainment timed to the highly anticipated live-action Street Fighter movie arriving in theaters October 16, 2026. The collaboration will bring the film’s iconic characters to life through a line of action figures, toys, and collectibles, extending the experience from the big screen into the hands of fans worldwide.

Hasbro’s legacy with the Street Fighter franchise stretches back to the arcade-era phenomenon Street Fighter™ II: The World Warrior, when the company created a popular line of action figures, vehicles, and playsets that helped bring the game’s iconic characters from the arcade into fans’ homes worldwide.

“Returning to Street Fighter is more than a collaboration – it’s a homecoming rooted in one of the most influential video games of all time,” said Tim Kilpin, President of Toy, Licensing, and Entertainment at Hasbro. “Our work on Street Fighter II: The World Warrior gave us firsthand insight into what makes these characters so iconic. That connection to the franchise’s origins allows us to honor its legacy while delivering new products that capture the spirit, style, and energy fans have embraced for decades.”

“We’re thrilled to partner with Hasbro to bring the iconic Street Fighter film and experience into the homes of devoted fans,” said Amber Sheppo, SVP of Consumer Products & Partnerships at Legendary. “Legendary has a proven track record of translating beloved IP with passionate fan bases into cultural moments through our films, and we can’t wait to see audiences around the globe engage with the full Street Fighter universe both in theaters and at home.”

Hasbro aims to bring its signature, high-quality product innovation to this legacy franchise and will be sharing more information in the coming months.

Street Fighter, based on Capcom’s iconic and globally successful video game franchise, will be released in theaters on October 16, 2026. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Noah Centineo (Ken), Andrew Koji (Ryu), Callina Liang (Chung-Li), Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoai (Akuma), David Dastmalchian (M. Bison), Cody Rhodes (Guile), with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (Balrog), and Jason Momoa (Blanka), and many others.

Yesterday we first told you how Hasbro had released a press release announcing they would be doing products based on the new Street Fighter movie coming from Legendary Entertainment which opens in theaters on October 16. 2026.

While details were lite on any kind of specifics for what we can expect to see from Hasbro for this new license in the press release, I think it's a pretty safe assumption we will among possible other things see new 1/12 scale action figures.

I have no idea how deep they might go with a 1/12 line, but being the movie versions of these characters differ a bit from their video game counter-parts, we have complied this list of known characters set to appear in the movie along with the names of the actors playing them and character posters for an idea of what they will look like. Also show below is the first trailer for the movie.

The full cast includes the following:

-Noah Centineo as Ken Masters
-Andrew Koji as Ryu
-Callina Liang as Chun-Li
-Cody Rhodes as Guile
-Orville Peck as Vega
-Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog
-Jason Momoa as Blanka
-Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim
-Olivier Richters as Zangief
-Hirooki Goto as E. Honda
-David Dastmalchian as M. Bison
-Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i as Akuma
-Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki
-Eric André as Don Sauvage
-Mel Jarnson as Camm
-Rayna Vallandingham as Jul
-Alexander Volkanovski as Joe

Names that stand out from the cast are Jason Momoa as Blanka, and wrestling fans will recognize the likes of Cody Rhodes as Guile and Roman Reigns as Akuma. Like I say, I don't know how deep this line will go or if they will end up doing figures for all the characters in it. Much of that will likely depend on the overall success of the movie itself.

Hasbro in my opinion while not always perfect has gotten pretty good over the years capturing the actor likenesses for movie character based action figures. For examples of that you can look towards their 6" Marvel Legends MCU and Star Wars Black Series figures. I suspect articulation and prices will be similar to those lines as well.

So let us know in the comments, are you excited for movie versions action figures for these characters or will you just stick with video game versions?

Hopefully we will get more details on this line and perhaps a look at some of the figures next week at the New York Toy Fair which starts on February 14th. Of course we will bring you full coverage of that event.

Wait.... not Jada? I thought this just meant they were doing some crossover figs.

No these are movie figures. Jada does Video game.

In my opinion, Hasbro is 90% fantastic at getting movie likenesses right. They are much better than McFarlane.  If you really like how an actress or actor in this movie looks as the character, then you probably couldn't have asked for anything better than Hasbro getting this likeness and putting MCU or Black Series effort into it.

Chun Li is the only Street Fighter character I like and I'm not sure I love this actress's version of the character (though I won't judge it only from one movie poster) so I doubt I will get any of these. But I'm definitely curious to see what Hasbro does. Unlike a lot of others, I don't love Jada's line so I never dove into it.

You make a good point. Their face printing has likenesses down pat.

I feel the same way about this as I do about the MOTU movie figs, I’m cautiously optimistic. I’ve always wanted SF figures and being movie based makes me wonder if they’ll work in my toy world :P

Being the same actor, I wonder if we will be able to head swap the MOTU Chronicles He-man with SF Ken (assuming the two lines will be the same scale).

The guy who plans Ken and the guy who play He-Man are not the same Actor, He-Man is Nicolas Galitzine and Ken is Noah Centineo (or w.e)

Noah Centineo was attached to playing He-Man a while back, maybe that's where Emnems' confusion comes from :P

Maybe, I don't think Mattel plans for a lot of headswaps in their figures. I remember wanting to try kit bashing between Hasbro and Mattel a while back and they just aren't even close 😕

What I like best about Jada’s Street Fighter line is their inclusion of special move effects/accessories. And still for a decent price.

Hasbro is not always good at including newly sculpted effects when needed. For one example, they’ve made 6 Gambit figures in Legends, and we still don’t have a good card throwing effect. All of them have the same tiny, half-hearted reused card throwing effect, except the two that didn’t have any effects at all.

That said, I am curious to see what Hasbro can do with this license.

Oh that makes sense, I didn't know this.

either way however I highly doubt that Hasbro and Mattel figures will have cross compatibility because they tend to use very different joints, I mean anything is possible, but not the same actor so00.

Damn, didn't even realize it wasn't the same dude. I must have locked in his name in my memory when he was first attached to play He-Man. What can I say, old age 😆

With the popularity of the video game,  I can see Hasbro doing not only the figures but a ring or another type of small playset.😀💡👍✨

So surprised that Mattel didn't get the line given the WWE cast and their existing WWE x Street Fighter line. If they're doing a collector line, then Hasbro is still the best option for likenesses. It'll be interesting to see, but based on the designs in the poster, I don't feel a great pull towards picking any of them up at this stage. I expect there will be something on show at Toyfair, so we'll see what the actual things look like.
