I just want T-Ray and I'll be good on this line. Been wanting the vintage LJN figure I had as a kid for a while so this will be a much cheaper alternative.

Personally, I'm glad to see this. No one else is going to do this pretty obscure series, let alone in a MOTUC/Thundercats/Silverhawks compatible scale. Of course, I can't afford to collect this line, but I'm glad it's going to be out there!

I wonder what other series could possibly continue this scale/style once they're done with Tigersharks?

Blackstar would be great.

Just to be clear, I'm not against this line coming out. I'm against Super7 announcing it before they've acknowledged the problems they created with Silverhawks line, let alone giving any word on if there's going to be any fixes for them. I mean, I have zero trust in S7 releasing anything new in their Ultimates line these days to the point that I'm sure these Tigershark figs are going to have problems on the day of their release =(

All was quiet on the Ultimates front for Super7 and now this is announced, I may be interested in this new line depending on 1 - price and 2 - articulation. If Super7 gets with the modern action figure articulation and institute double joints and the prices are not insane then yes I will get these.

What problems are there with silverhawks? Line started off rocky but figures have pretty much all looked great and they're about a wave or two from potentially completing the line if they wanted (yesman, pokerface, timestopper, moon stryker, seymour).

Hate to tell you but you're probably going to be disappointed a)price will be 65-70 per figure and b) no modern articulation. They did it for 2003 turtles but brian flynn said they're not implementing it across the entire ultimates line.

I'm actually kinda into this, I always liked Tigersharks, I never owned any as a kid, but I watched the show and my friends had some toys, I always wanted some, I had a thing for the underwater theme, but never got any even to this day, I always saw the originals for insane prices at cons but never was going to pay the prices I didn't want them enough, now for years I had them on my list of action figure lines I'd like to see get a modern re-do, so...Sure, although I really don't love S7 (for the prices really) I guess they are the people to do it? I actually would have hoped Nacelle would have got this license..

I have a feeling you're right, I mean $70 for a single jointed figure in this day and age is crazy business.

Most recently:

-Vac-metal Steelwill was colored incorrectly (he was given Quicksilver's brighter silver color), and the correctly colored pre-order renders of Steelwill are still being used on their webstore on his sale page.

-Bluegrass was originally designed with his scarf being knotted over the wrong arm, and the vac-metal re-release didn't fix this. Also, his color was incorrectly made green.

-(not a problem with Silverhawks alone) The slip covers for the Ultimates line was dropped just as the Copper Kid was being released. It was brought back for the Vac-metal Mon*star figure as an exclusive release package, only.

Like I said, S7 has ignored all questions about these, and they've done nothing to make me want to trust in supporting their figures on a blind, "only enough are going made to cover our pre-orders," basis. This is basically the Matty/MotUC problem all over again where we weren't being told what was coming out but had to support the line blindly unless we wanted it all cancelled. But at least they wouldn't show us what was being released and then give us something different, which is what the Silverhawks S7 line is doing =/

All valid points. I only have toy deco quicksilver, buzzsaw and mon-star but remember seeing steelwill's incorrect color.

And yeah, I do hate that those kinds of screwups hardly ever get brought up during any Brian Flynn appearance and if they do they usually are glossed over (like Grune's hips or Hachiman being a little underscaled in the thundercats line).

Well here's how it has to go: Super7 will need to exist off of the legacy of 4H classic figure designs from 18 years ago on properties no one else is scooping up. They will still look good in standing position but the materials used will continue to decline while the QC issues will continue to increase along with the price. Brace for major restructuring, brace for another end of an era. If they are looking for another major line to take them through another 4 years, I don't think this is it. I am grateful but I also expect very little.

I hope Mattel scoops up Blackstar, and integrates it in MOTU.

Though, I would not be disappointed if Icon did Blackstar and Overlord, since their 5.5" Frazetta line looks amazing.

I liked some of Formo's initial offerings, but nothing has made me hit the "purchase" button in a long while.

Rankin Bass had a hit with cats, then tried to repeat the success to diminishing returns with birds, then fish. We could have had an entire super powered pet shop by 1991. Thunder Lizards. Silver Hamsters. Tiger Rabbits.

Of course but will still be cheaper than trying to get the vintage LJN figures.
