Tales from ’85 Trailer Drops for Stranger Things Day

Netflix has released a first look teaser for Stranger Things: Tales from ’85, an animated series inspired by the acclaimed show Stranger Things. The announcement coincides with Stranger Things Day, which commemorates the date Will Byers disappeared in Hawkins, Indiana, on November 6, 1983.
 

 

The streaming platform also announced the voice cast for its upcoming animated series, scheduled for release in 2026. The principal cast features Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Luca Diaz as Mike, Ej (Elisha Williams) as Lucas, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Ben Plessala as Will, and Brett Gipson as Hopper. Additional voice talent includes Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofalo, and Lou Diamond Phillips.

Set between Seasons 2 and 3 of Stranger Things, Tales from ’85 returns viewers to Hawkins during the winter of 1985, where the original characters confront new monsters and investigate a paranormal mystery affecting their town.

Honestly I'm down, because I just love Stranger Things, but I'm not really loving the whole, this story takes place between season 2 and 3, because well...why wouldn't they have made reference to these exciting and surely full of wild adventure ongoings in the show? won't really make sense to me, you can't just plug things into an elaborate story, anyways..it's just a cash grab and to keep drawing out more Stranger Things...things. Likely unnecessary.

Yeah no don't get me started on that finale....or I'll scream and slash a tire.

Still waiting for Conformity Gate to be real....grrrr

Some people still say the final was not real and there is a mystical 9th episode coming, LOL...

They are coping hard not believing how bad the ending was. Me, I stopped watching after S3 already.

This seems like more of the same, except with Pumpkin-Demons. Same writers too, so it will be bad. Guess they realized that since the kids are aging out terribly, this is the only way they can continue milking the franchise.

The Neverending Story moment in S3 never came close to being topped.  I wish I had checked out before Henry Creel was introduced and ruined the show's mythos.
