Collectors, mark your calendars and gas up your cars: it's that time of the year again! Rumors are swirling that a ton of Hasbro items are about to hit the discount circuit, with Marvel Legends Gamerverse figures leading the charge. That's right: Ross Con 2025 is about to begin! ToyFarce investigated...

Every year, toy hunters from around the country gather at their local Ross, Ollie's, or TJ Maxx in what has become the most budget-friendly convention of the season. Forget badges! Just bring your wallet, patience, and a keen eye for those slightly damaged boxes...

Early attendees of this year's Ross Con: Gamerverse Edition are already reporting sightings of the Marvel Legends Gamerverse figures, some of those Wolverine two-packs as well as some other Hasbro surprises! This year, the panels include "How to Navigate the Clearance Aisle Like a Pro", "Recognizing Price Stickers Through Packaging Tears" and "A Q&A With That One Guy Who Somehow Found a Haslab Sentinel for $25".

Local collector Brad shared his annual regret: "For the ninth year in a row, I bought all those figures at full price the week they came out, thinking that surely, this time, they won't end up at Ross. I really thought this year would be different..." he said, clutching a full-price receipt like a badge of misplaced faith.

ToyFarce reached out to a Hasbro representative for comment, who simply replied: "At least someone's buying them...".

So get ready, collectors: Ross Con is coming. May your shelves be full, your receipts be short, and your discount tags be neon yellow!

More news at 11: And remember, it's not clearance, it's "extended retail availability"!

Has the Gamerverse stuff really done so poorly that they would end up at discount chains in the next few months?  I mean, I know this is a joke article and all, but I figured that stuff would probably do all right (I did see Omega/War Machine in the clearance aisle at Walmart recently, but the box was heavily damaged).  The timing feels right for whatever Wolverine 2-Packs are still floating around, though.
