MUST HAVE! I have waited ages for this line. I only ever got into MOTU with the 2002 show, I never could take the 1983 one seriously...

I have collected all the character-specific toys and the Staction statues (save for Jitsu) by now, so this comes at a great time. I do kinda wish Beast Man had swappable hands or a different face, and that Tri-Klops came with his seeker drone, but it is awesome how much cartoon accurate these are!

Can't wait for Moss Man, who never got a toy in the original line.

So Super7's Melodia gets gray skin whens she's pale skinned and 200x Evil-Lyn gets pale skin when she has gray skin.  How weird.  It's not really hard to look at the respective cartoons and see how these characters look.

Why do they never give Prince Adam a place to store his sword on his back?

Edit: I'm glad to see they actually made Skeletor's swords clip apart and together this time. I've mostly dropped out of collecting MOTU lately, but I may have to at least pick him up

Respectable, but it's difficult to get too excited when Mondo is steamrolling 200x now. Smart to use a more cartoon style with these and make them quickly so if you want a shred of realism/detail and you're willing to wait, you know where to go.

Yeah kinda crazy that Mattel would start a 200x series for Origins, while Mondo is at the exact same time doing a line, and the difference is crazy, obviously it's for different collectors, one line is cheaper and more toonish, but really most of the serious collectors are not going to go for these when Mondo is doing a superior job and people would likely foot the bill, but on the other hand it's great people have options, I myself don't care about 200x so I don't have any stakes in the game, but I'd go Mondo all day if I was choosing.

Many people don't have the disposable funds for Mondo....AND if people (outside of MOTU superfans) are going to drop serious coin for 12inchers...Hot Toys wins without question.

MOTU has always been synonymous with the Mattel scale and those of us who grew up with it in the 80s and 2000x appreciate the nostalgia of figs that look the "same" but with better sculpts and articulation.

I LOVED 2000X Zodak (because he was a Black dude) but that stupid pose he was in really was a fail for me. Now I will have a full articulated one that I will 100 find a Cosmic Legion weapon/accessory and kit mine out.

I like the look of Mondo...but I ain't jumping for it....especially not when Mattel is actually churning out some slick figs.

These look so awesome, Mattel is doing some remarkable artistic work on their MOTU lines! Amazing to be an adult and have the experience of toy history to be able to fully appreciate the advancements made in retail toy production. Amazing

That;s the thing though, The new Mondo 200X MOTU figures are 1:12 , 6'' scale figures, and quite a couple coins less then the average 12'' Mondo, at about the prices SHF go for.

so it is a bit of a wild battle here.

but like I said love that the people have options! super important and great, but wild that these two companies wouldn't have spaced out their releases not to have to directly compete with each other for the most part.

Mondo MOTU 200x figs are 1/12 scale. About 6 to 9 inch depending on the character. But yeah, they're very expensive if one is a really big fan and wants to get all the characters. I wasn't even knowledgeable of 200x existing until very recently, lol, so I don't think I'll be getting into their line of offerings. However, I am tempted to grab one or two to for research, they look so good and are a new field for Mondo to work in as most their stuff is vinyl or 1/6 (12inch) figures. Still undecided, due to cost of EVERYTHING in life increasing now; and the Mattel stuff is so good and plentiful it kinda makes the Mondo stuff obsolete for me.

Are these the same size as the regular Origins line? I like the 2003 show, but don't really plan to buy this line, but I'd kinda like to get that Zodak since he and the original Zodac are considered differnt characters, it'd be cool to have both in that scale.

Those Mondos (I'm more familiar with the 12 inchers) are beautiful but like One:12s and MAFEX....are just doing to much (price wise). Depending on where you snatch it you're looking at 95 bucks and up

Uber fan territory.

I hate we are in a time where companies are really forcing customers to dig deep cost wise to get into their lines...and not all of them may continue.  The Mondo Hordak is a sight to behold but getting it means cuts elsewhere...vs a 25ish Mattel version and I can enjoy along with other figs.

I was pleasantly surprised Mattel 200X origins are staying at $19.99

The 200x cartoon collection will be closer to the size of the Thundercats crossover figures.

Those aren't the same size as Origins? I saw a couple at Walmart and I didn't notice any difference (Though they didn't have any Origins figures for me to compare them to)

Same size as Origins so if you've dived into Origins...they'll scale.  They just have a more modern look than Origins since Origins was designed to look like the 80s figs with modern articulation

This is a price increase.  They were 18.99 each as recently as when I ordered Shadow Weaver.

Who here remembers the original 200x figures selling for $14 in stores? I have to give Mattel some credit, after Classics went away I thought that was it. Having a movie on the way is a major factor, but who'd a thunk they'd be expanding like this so many years later? And willing to license out the brand like they have? Not Neitlich!
