So, dim the lights and make yourself uncomfortable, because Elvira is putting on a performance that’ll raise the dead! Available exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con 2025.

Monster High® Sweet Screams™ Twyla® Doll| SRP: $80
The hauntingly sweet fan-favorite line returns! Making her candy-coated debut, Twyla stuns in this year’s Sweet Screams release. Styled in pastels and eerie-chic details, she dons a cotton-candy inspired tulle dress, syrup-dripped accessories, and her signature mischievous charm. Her loyal bunny, Dustin, makes a delicious comeback – this time with a cotton-candy scent. Also includes a collectible comic to continue the Sweet Screams saga.

Hot Wheels® Mario Kart Pauline | SRP: $22
Rev your engines! Hot Wheels Mario Kart brings a power-packed reveal to SDCC with the exclusive debut of Pauline – the daring and dazzling Mayor of New Donk City. MATTEL CREATIONS PAYS HOMAGE TO UNIVERSAL PICTURES “CINEMATIC CLASSICS” WITH COLLECTIBLES FROM HOT WHEELS® TO BE SHOWCASED AT SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON 2025

Collectibles inspired by nostalgic blockbuster films, Back to the Future and Jaws, are brought to life by Mattel

EL SEGUNDO, CA — June 23, 2025 — Mattel Creations is turning back time at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 with Hot Wheels® collectibles celebrating two iconic Universal Pictures films that defined generations, Back to the Future and Jaws. This year’s collection taps into the emotional heart of both films fandoms, spotlighting beloved characters, unforgettable scenes and pop-culture milestones that continue to resonate with fans of the franchises. Both items pay tribute to the cinematic classics, from time-traveling cars to shark-infested waters.

“These movies have left an indelible mark on pop culture. We worked closely with our creative teams to make sure every detail celebrates the spirit of these iconic moments,” said Nick Karamanos, senior vice president, Mattel Creations & Entertainment Partnerships at Mattel. “It is magical to watch our fans connect with the stories they grew up with and we're proud to bring that magic to life through our collectibles.”

Hot Wheels Back to the Future 40th Anniversary Set | SRP: $32
Hot Wheels is marking the 40th anniversary of Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s Back to the Future with a San Diego Comic-Con collectible that brings the Time Machine’s legendary debut to life. The limited-edition set includes finely detailed die-cast vehicles and a cinematic diorama that transports fans back to one of the film’s most unforgettable scenes. Packaged in a collector-worthy display box, this release is a tribute to the 1985 hit film classic that redefined a generation of pop culture.

Hot Wheels Jaws 50th Anniversary | SRP: $32
To honor 50 years of Universal Pictures and Steven Spielberg’s Jaws, Hot Wheels is unleashing a nostalgic collectible inspired by one of cinema’s most unforgettable moments: the legendary “You’re gonna need a bigger boat” scene. Styled with vintage '70s flair and featuring packaging that captures the texture and movement of open water, this release is as much a display piece as it is a die-cast. In addition, the boat and the shark are both unique die-casts.

I commented on this on Twitter, but the photographer of the T-Rex set deserves a lot of credit for setting up all those "generic" park goers.  At first I wondered where they came from. But I think most (if not all) are just cleverly positioned Jurassic World main characters (and, of course, I'm not so dense that I didn't recognize Arnold and Sattler).

Also, the picture of the guy in the suit confronting the T-Rex is funny.

I just love it when Mattel goes all out with their toy photography. Especially my fav toy line MOTU, but really all three of these look awesome.

I’d buy a whole book of that!
