How much of this is new from the Three Jokers trench coat figure? It looks new to me, but it's hard to tell.

This is an easy pass for me. If I didn't already have the Three Jokers version I might have considered it but I've basically decided after having all three Three Jokers versions, Batman Who Laughs and White Knight Joker that I'm completely done buying McFarlane Jokers pretty much regardless of what they do from here.

The head and hat are new. The body, trenchcoat, hands, even the camera look to be the same.

After seeing how awful a soft goods trenchcoat fit on the Captain Boomerang figure now I actually prefer a molded plastic one.

Right there with you.  You really have to nail soft goods before I'll like them.  Most of the time it just doesn't work aesthetically for me.

Thirded. I am not a fan of soft goods, particularly in this scale.  The wired capes can be ok, but the horrible stuff that comes with Black Series, Mattel's stuff, and Super7 figures is not an improvement on anything.

Mcfarlane figures are 100% better now that he finally started using soft goods. It makes me actually want it. Wish I knew the release time. Usually around 1 pt,but who knows.

McFarlane stuff almost always goes up between 12 PM and 1 PM ET, usually right at 12 PM.  Amazon can post them up to 5 minutes early, but that's not guaranteed.

Very strange development. I'm still on the fence on this figure anyway.  I think the jacket is tighter than on the comedian version (much like the gray and blue Batgirl fixed the short neck problem of the black and yellow initial release), but you can't really be sure until it's in-hand. And I think I like the colors better on the Three Jokers trench coat.

I wonder if it’s that whole weapon thing again from DC as McFarlane May wanted to have a pistol in there for him

My guess is that there is some logistics issue and Amazon wasn't ready to do the preorder.

That has happened before (the most recent time was Hasbro Pulse putting an X-Men wave up late).

The Batman: The Killing Joke McFarlane Cover Recreation Gold Label Joker Figure from McFarlane Toys that was originally going to be released as an Amazon exclusive will now be offered at Walmart and the McFarlane Store. It is said the pre-order will go live tomorrow (3/31). They did not give a specific time but generally McFarlane pre-orders go live at 12pm ET. Looks like the same figure as before but with a lighter jacket and the camera without the strap.I still have the first one and he had a crowbar and a strapped camera.
