I know it was back in October when Venkman went on pre-order, but I wish these releases were spread out just a little bit longer (if Egon is already coming this month). Maybe there's a just rush to get the four main characters out this year so Mondo can get to announce side guys like Janine or possibly an Ecto-1 by SDCC?

I wonder if the latest trade scuffles are making things interesting for the folks at Mondo. Who needs a boogieman when you are potentially looking at a 10%-20% price increase? Scary enough for me!

Complete with swappable hands and portraits, THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS – Egon Spengler 1/12 Scale Figure is equipped with his trusty proton pack, particle thrower and ghost trap. And each of our Real Ghostbusters comes paired with a goblin from the show ... in this case, the blue intro ghost!

Looks good for the most part, but if Hasbro can figure out a way to do clear lenses for the glasses worn by figures that cost $25, Mondo can do the same thing for Egon.

I'm ok with the way they look.  Usually those lenses on those figures are god awful.

Usually, 1/12 scale figures don't cost a hundred bucks. For the price they can and should do better.

Yeah honestly as much as these are pretty much exactly what I wanted in a Cartoon Busters figure line, and I love em, the price is just outrageous, 100 $ for a 1:12 scale figure just doesn't work for me, I just can't feel okay with those purchases, I'm still hoping Hasbro does the Toon busters in the Plasma line (they are bringing that back apparently?), If not I'll keep waiting for something affordable.

Mondo making 6" Real Ghostbusters figures very likely means Hasbro doesn't have the rights to make them. It might be something they outsourced to Mondo for a fee like they did with the GI Joe cartoon figures and Super 7 or their Ghostbusters license was only for the movies.

As a collector that has spent years and *censored* of dollars on collectibles, I am really glad that I have a shot at grabbing these even though the retail price is steep. I'm so used to playing catch up on ebay that $202 feels like a steal! It wasn't too long ago I was considering Neca's old variant offerings at what, $200-$300 and more for a single figure? 

The cartoon was so good at extending the GB lore into something fun and playable that at this point I feel they have more punch on the shelf than the live action versions. Though I will say that for me the only way to collect live-action figures is 1/6th scale or bigger.

I also can't wait to see if they'll get around to recolors, extra heads for the mains and more intro theme ghosts up to and including a scaled-down SPMM. What do you think, 16-20 inches enough height for the big guy?

Who do you think will be making them next? Neca or Super 7? I can get on board if one of those companies make them since pricing at the moment is way too high for me to collect them.

If I had to pic someone based off what you suggested, Super7 is the most likely due to there working relationship with Hasbro already.  I gotta be honest I'm looking at these as a one and done for me.  I'll have great renditions of RGB and I'll never buy them again from another company.
