Wish these were closer in price to MOTUO.

Ive got the Funko Savage World releases that shockingly don't look too different from this which makes this an easy pass for me.

That said I'm always happy to see new Thundercats stuff

Kinda cool actually, but you GOTTA give Lion-O a neck guys, he looks SUPER goofy like this.

Now, if Super 7 can get these heads to be swappable with Ultimates, that would take things up another notch!

These would be too small for Ultimates I think

This feels like it would make slightly more sense if they didn’t already start a cheaper version of the Ultimates line for $5 more.

Good point. Between their various sub lines their prices are starting to not make sense. The only constant being that all the prices are a bit too high for what you're getting 😆

$20 gets you either a 5 poa reaction figure or an articulated 0-ring figure.

$30 for their 5.5 motu style figures...that seems to be about the price for figures in this style by indy toy companies, so I'll give them that.

$5 more gets you the 7 inch figures and $55 gets you the same figure but with extra parts and a fancy box (i prefer the conan and thundercats deluxe packaging by far).

Not to mention the $10 or so they occassionally upcharge when they remember to.

I like that Super7 is expanding their 5.5 inch line. These look amazing, I like them. I do have the Funko Savage World Lion-O so I'll see how different these will be. Hopefully better quality control, those Funkos are infamous for breaking right out of the package.

Grabbed Mumm-Ra and Lion-O.  Can't resist the notion of mixing them in with all the MOTU Origins stuff.  Not really in love with the price point, but I'll suck it up enough to grab the two principles, and if I'm somehow overly impressed maybe I'll grab some more, but they'll make a fun addition/Easter egg to the Siege of Eternia (when I finally make the space to set all that up).

They're ok...they do look a bit better than Savage World but not by much. Not a fan of the Super 7's 5.5 price point.

These I'm not even sure look better than the Savage World, honestly I'm just falling asleep over here seeing these, these have already been done, feels lazy, why not try something different?, Glad people are happy with this but this just seems like Savage World 2.0, and They could have at least given these more POA like Origins figures. Seems like a cover song of a song by a band who wasn't very good to begin with.

Will say this though, At least this Lion-O looks much better then Funko's because that was a pretty rough adaptation.

I'm still just sitting over here with my LJN figures, still not buying anything New.

This seems kinda ... I don't know pointless given what maytel is gonna do.

I'm pretty sure the Mattel ones will be MOTU versions of Thundercats.  Similar to the TMNT x MOTU figures not just 5.5 inch Classic Costume versions of the Thundercats like these. I mean I have no hard evidence to back that up just my personal opinion.

It could just as well be like how they handled the Rulers of the Sun characters in the Origins line. With all of those designs left as is. I guess we'll all find out in Feb (toyfair).

That’s different though. The Rulers of the Sun were just basically absorbed into the Origins line as MOTU characters. I don’t think they’re literally making Thundercats MOTU characters in the same way.

I totally agree with your assumption because of what saw already from the turtles of Grayskull...😃💡☕👍

Not for me, but good to see that Thundercats is getting more attention.  We now have S7 Ultimates, S7 5.5, Mondo, and Mattel TMNT x Thundercats.

And reaction. Though that feels like it's died out a bit

Now that the cat is out of the bag... And we can see the figures posing for the camera. I have these are SUPERIOR to what Funko did years ago. I'm willing to get rid of my Funko Mumm-Ra and Lion-O and get me these Super 7 versions....

Also noticed the color of the plastic, kind of looks like Sofubi plastic? Maybe is the light coloring but that's the impression I'm getting guys ...spacer.png

Ok guy's,  I got the Lion-O and Mumm-Ra figures today and I will not open them for a review since I'm not keeping them in my collection... These are not near close to the Ultimates in terms of accurate cartoon painting... I was way more disappointed with Mumm-Ra which I'm supposed to be more excited.  Not liking the coloring at all. Sculp it's better in some aspects to the Funko version  but the painting killed for me. I will still collecting only the Ultimates versions...😃💡👍
