Four Horsemen Mythic Legions: Beyithirr the Green Dragon 1/12th Scale Figure coming in 2025!

The add-on sets are disappointing. I thought things like this would be stretch goals.  If you want everything they've shown so far (the flame head and the bigger wings), this thing is going to be a lot more than $500. Shipping alone will probably be $75 or so.

The Four Horsemen today released a video giving details for their new Mythic Legions Beyithirr Dragon Crowdfund which begins tomorrow (3/7) at 7pm ET and will run until 4/26/25 at 11pm ET.

Here are the details:

- You will be charged at time of order.

- They will be offering a payment plan of 4 bi-monthly payments.

- The Base Dragon will cost $550 and require a minimum 2000 units sold before it can move into production.

- Shipping will be an additional cost and will be based on location. They think the box will way around 30-40 pounds.

If the upgrade set is also unlocked, those items will be in the same package as Sir Benegarr himself. The Sir Benegarr figure will NOT be sold separately or outside of this crowdfunding preorder for Beyithirr. The only way to secure this figure is as part of the Beyithirr dragon set should the necessary funding levels be met!

God that is one epic piece. If I had the shelf space I would definitely get one for my motu shelf.

I think this is just too expensive for me.  I don't care for any of the unlockables and the big wings are $150 (!?).  So one of these guys is probably going to cost $550 + $150 + $75+ (shipping) + 6% sales tax.  $800 each is more than twice the cost of a HasLab. There's also not a lot of room to make any money reselling it to make back costs, considering 15% eBay fees are going to run about $120. Having a $1,000 item on eBay really limits your purchasers.

The Four Horsemen have post the following update about allowing local pickup:

"BREAKING NEWS - we WILL be allowing for local pickup at our New Jersey warehouse for the Beyithirr dragon figure and add-on sets! We normally do not allow for pickups, but Beyithirr is such a unique and large item that we want to do whatever we can to help get this into fans’ hands - so we WILL be have a “local pickup” option as part of the preorder that begins tonight! That option will remove shipping costs, but this is ONLY for those who will pick it up and there are specifics you should be aware of for this option:
This will NOT allow you to pick up the item whenever you choose. We will set a couple of very specific days and times when we will be available to fill orders once they arrive. You must pickup your items during this window and ONLY the items in this preorder will be available at that time. Dates will be determined once these items arrive.

The dates we set for local pickup will be AFTER all other preorders that require shipping are out and on the way. While you will save on shipping prices, you will be getting your orders after everyone else.
As much as we love having people over to our studio, these pickups will not include a studio tour. That being said, we could definitely see some local Legionnaires making a party out of these pick up events!
This is for pickup at our warehouse only. We cannot bring these to a show so you can pick them up there.
We are offering this to help our fans, but please be realistic and do not select this option if you cannot pick these up in NJ. If you select “local pickup” and cannot come get it once these items are in, you will have to pay the shipping charges at that time versus the current rates (and since rates tend to go up over time, it will likely be more expensive to ship later). Additionally, any orders that select “local pickup” that need to be shipped will also incur the “in stock change” fee of $15 per order for that change.
We are very excited for the start of the Beyithirr preorder campaign tonight, and we hope the announcement of this local pickup option will help some of our fans add this dragon and add-on sets to their collection! "

The shipping is going to be astronomical.

Edit: It is $62 to ship one to Virginia (from New Jersey).  So the total for one dragon with the epic wings is $804.  Not surprisingly, the shipping does not scale. So each one is $62 to ship.

This is a magnificent figure. And yeah its gonna be pricey. But this kind of masterful work and quality warrant a high price. I don't think a haslob type comparison can be made, as that company and others like mattel, mcfarlane, etc. have anywhere from 200 to 8000 employees, plus distribution and other components/divisions, etc. Four Horsemen has only 15 dedicated men and women. Fifteen.

Now that may not matter to the potential consumer- we have to consider not just the price of the thing, but space in our homes and SHIPPING costs for such a behemoth. At the same time, fans of Mythic Legions have been screaming for a Dragon since the line began, 10 years ago. Well- here it is.

Let's see what happens!

This is all getting out of hand. I'm over a hundred miles away and it actually might be worth the trip to pick up. Wish we had a live counter on sales but hopefully enough people get an order in. 1k for everything is a tough sell even for a masterpiece like this one. Might skip out on the wings...

It's going to fund. But the price point is going to depress total sales. I've seen a lot of grumbling about the $150 add-ons and the shipping in particular in groups where this thing was a sensation when teased last year.

Extremely disappointed in this. I was in at $550. But pushing $1,000 to get the dragon with all the pieces for it that should be included with it, the pieces that they explicitly say they are not going to make available and sell later? Extortionate. Four Horsemen are going to lose goodwill on this. They've lost mine.

I still haven't received my $600 Necronominus purchase from 2022. I have eight unfulfilled waves from them dating back to 2022. EIGHT multi-hundred dollar orders that I am waiting on, and they want me to drop another $1k on this? With the way things are going, who even knows if they'll actually be able to fulfill this thing? Tariffs, global uncertainty, all kinds of stuff popping up making this sort of thing difficult for companies that are actually good at logistics and shipping and fulfillment.

$300 extra for the fire-breathing head and wings - it's just left a bad taste in my mouth about the whole thing.

The Beyithirr campaign is chugging along nicely, and the Horsemen have an important milestone to report today - we are over the 50% funded mark on all three items, including the Beyithirr dragon! Here are the latest numbers.

Beyithirr is now at 50% funded with 1003 units sold!
The “Fiery Breath” add-on set is now at the 70% funded mark with just under 700 of those sold (691 to be exact)! The “Epic Wings” set is at 57% funded with 568 units sold!

Over 50% funded across the board after only a few days is an exellent place to be! The Horsemen are looking forward to hitting each of these goals soon so they can move onto those stretch goals! Sir Benegarr must be unleashed!

I still think this will fund (probably easily), but these have to be somewhat disappointing results.  This thing was so hyped at the end of last year and people were so excited.  Price does matter (as, I think, Hasbro has learned).

It'll definitely fund, but not without sourness on a lot of collector's part.  I think if they had done the wings and dragon head as stretch goals (even upping the goal markers appropriately) sales would have gone through the roof, but now that we're pushing around a grand for a complete set of offerings it's left a bitter taste in the mouths of a lot of people, and I can't say I blame them.

I am just ordering the Dragon. I really wanted the open wings, but I wanted $49.99 open wings. Since Haslab comes up in comparison often, the very articulated and large Giant Man was $199.

Despite my complaint, I am very excited to get this guy.

I had talked myself into two dragons at $550.  But I was counting on getting the wings as a stretch goal, not a $150 add-on.  Plus $65 apiece for shipping turned me off.

Now, I'm pretty sure I'm out.

I'm looking forward to the inevitable Toy Farce article about our collective panic once the add-ons are funded before the actual dragon is haha. I know they will all fund but that's kind of an awkward worst case scenario: get the wings, the head, the fire breath, the burning knight and the ashen skeleton but no dragon...

I hope they figure out a way to make the red dragon more affordable next time. Even if it means raising the minimum level. I think more folks would opt for a red one based on color alone.

Now see a RED one would probably have snagged me. I'd love that. But to be real, even if they do one it won't be until 2030, and I can't imagine how expensive that one will be.

2030?!! I was thinking maybe 2028. Did they say they would wait that long?

Four Horsemen have some exciting news to share on the Beyithirr campaign this morning - The Fiery Breath set has reached its minimum funding goal! The announcement that Sir Benegarr will be included by default in the Beyithirr dragon set absolutely set the campaign on fire yesterday! We had one of our biggest days of the sale so far and it helped push all of these items higher! Here is where we stand:

The Beyithirr dragon is at 1815 units sold! That is 91% to the funding goal for the dragon!

The Fiery Breath set is fully funded! As of this morning it stands at 1002 units sold, which is just over that minimum funding mark! Now we move onto the Fiery Breath stretch goal which is the Burning Knight upgrade set - you can see the extra head and lower arms/legs from that set used in the photo of the Burning Knight in this post. Those pieces unlock at 1250 units. Remember, the Burning Knight is included with this add-on set by default, so that figure is now locked in!

The Epic Wings set stands at 817 units sold, which is 82% of the funding goal.

With the Fiery Breath set now fully funded, we know some people have asked “what happens if the add-on sets fund but not the dragon?” The good news is it looks like that won’t be an issue. With the dragon now at 91% to its funding goal and just under 3 weeks left in this campaign, we are more confident than ever that this campaign will exceed its minimum funding goal! That being said, we still have work to do – so if you haven’t preordered your Beyithirr yet, now is a great time to do so to support this historic action figure campaign! You can get your preorder in exclusively at StoreHorsemen.com.

No. I'm factoring in the work and production they would need to do and cost analysis from pushback on this one. This is just MY opinion, which as you know is valued greatly on the global market and with several national heads of state.  But still its their product and they have to determine that.  If they had a red (or any other variant really) already in the pipeline right now, sure, it could maybe arrive a year or two earlier. But they're gonna have to catch their breath and work in some new angles and that takes time.

In a video last year (Legions Con livestream, I think), Eric Treadaway said after the Beyithirr announcement,  that collectors could expect dragons of different shapes, sizes, and colors. I assume from that, "the five pillars," or whatever they're calling them, will not be repaints, and a red dragon may be entirely different from this guy.

I would not be surprised if future dragons are smaller with fewer features.
