Shown below is a preview image for the McFarlane Toys Collector Edition Green Lantern (Simon Baz) figure which will be going up for pre-order at places like our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth at 12pm ET on October 17. This figure will include 3 face plates, power battery, and 3 constructs.

This figure is part of the 8th wave of Collector Edition 7" figures. The other figures in the assortment should be Mr. Terrific and Grid. Each figure will in the wave should also see a Platinum Edition variant released.

Im assuming the Platinum Mr. Terrific will be the classic look or more like it. Ive never seen this one. The version in next year’s Superman movie looks pretty classic (esp compared to Hawkgirl and Guy Gardner who are in Maxwell Lord garb) so maybe we’ll get one then.

He'll probably look more classic with the jacket on

I wish they'd stop revealing the figures with these little teasers, I want to see all his face options before I decide if I'm gonna get him, and I don't want to have to decide with the possibility he could sell out at any second hanging over my head

Despite the fact that none of them are new bodies (Grid for example is Flashpoint Cyborg's BAF body.) all three are good, Mr. Terrific is really cool with that backwards slapped jacket, Grid I almost thought was a Metallo at first.

What are you talking about, the preorder isn't live,  the preorder when it is live shows you everything that comes with it when you order. This is such a non issue.

Seems kinda worried about having a black T on the face of a black male figure.

Do you want to explain this to me ? Being a Black Collector  ive been a fan of Mr Terrific for years. Including his Arrow live action debut.  There is nothing offensive about this. I'm just happy that I'm getting the chance to get more black characters

Didn't expect Simon at all . I hope Jessica Cruz and Jo Mullein will get a release.  I really didn't expect Mr Terrific untill the superman movie.

That's exactly what I'm saying, I want to know everything included and how it looks before it goes live

I'm down for Grid, for sure.  Mostly because I love the Crime Syndicate.  I'm surprised Captain Re-use hasn't re-painted Blackest Night Deathstorm into Crime Syndicate Deathstorm yet, but whatever.  Patiently waiting for Forever Evil Superwoman in the meantime.

Mr. Terrific doesn't impress, going by that promo shot.  I'm mostly done buying new characters simply because they're new.  Made that dumb mistake with Metallo, and it's not happening again.  If it's not a version I care about, I don't see the point, and I don't care about New52 Mr. Terrific.  If they're not going to be on-point with their version selection, mostly so they can re-release the popular version we actually wanted a year later without having to invest in new tooling, I'm not going to reward it.  Especially not at $30 a pop. Done with that nonsense.

Simon might be all right.  Don't think I'll go out of my way, but if I see him, I might grab him.

Michael Holt is brown-skinned. The "T" is black.  It will be fine.

I don't know who this Grid is, but I do know he looks darn amazing, and I kinda want it.

Also see here, I'm bad with DC stuff, especially new DC stuff, but what the hey is up with Luchador Green Lantern? because that looks real goofy, like if you told me it was  WWE x DC crossover figure I'd be like yup that checks out.

I really like this Grid character though, but is that the variant one in Green? because I want that one.

I really want Grid for my Crime Syndicate shelf. I saw a packaged picture and it is not a Mega Fig. I am surprised.

On the "DC Infinite Hour" show Brad said he didn't want two Cyborgs in the same display because Grid and Cyborg are the same dude. Isn't Grid just Cyborgs mechanical parts gone sentient? Brad could just view Cyborg as being rebuilt.

I definitely want the standard version of Grid. He's my most wanted from this wave. Did he have a green look like the Platinum in the comics? I don't tend to remember that. It almost looks more like the Green Lantern Stel to me. I'll be picking up both versions of Lightning Lad. I'm a big Legion of Super Heroes fan. I only need the regular Simon Baz as I'm not into the metallic Platinum variant. My DCD Simon is in bad shape (poor quality made it extremely brittle), so I'm happy to have a new version. I'll be buying Mr Terrific also, but I don't believe that we've seen a platinum version of him yet.

That's exactly what happened in the comics.  Grid ripped itself away from the organic parts of Vic, which nearly killed him.  He was kept alive long enough for his father to rebuild him in the Red Room.  So there were canonically two "Cyborg" bodies running around the DCU, his original which became Grid and his rebuilt body.  After that, it got weird.

Anyway, definitely don't want that green Grid.  I have no idea what they're thinking some times.
