Remember when Beetlejuice fans were practically dying for a new action figure or two of 'the ghost with the most'? Well, those days are long gone, and some fans now feel like they are drowning in a sea of collectibles. ToyFarce investigated...

"I fondly remember the days, a few weeks ago, when all we had were the old Kenner figures, a few Happy Meal toys and that one animated series figure from The Loyal Subjects..." said Beetlejuice super-fan Lydia Deetz (no relation). "We were begging for more Beetlejuice merch, we signed petitions, we did the hashtags, we asked every companies... What we didn't expect is that they would all answer the call at the exact same time."

As the release of the long-awaited sequel of the 1988 movie was approaching, several toy brands started to announce Beetlejuice figures: Sideshow Colletibles announced a 12" figure, McFarlane Toys announced a Movie Maniacs figure, NECA announced re-issues of their old Cult Classic figures... but then, the floodgates opened... Hot Toys announced a 1/6 scale collectible figure, NECA announced Toony Terrors, mini figure sets, a life-size Baby Beetlejuice, a new Ultimate Beetlejuice figure, Tamashii Nations announced a S.H.Figuarts figure, Mezco opened pre-orders for their One:12 Collective figures,... and that's just the beginning!

"We thought we wanted this but now, we don't know anymore... did we ask for this much Beetlejuice? We used to cherish each new announcements like a rare treasure... Now, when another one gets announced, I feel nothing but panic and despair about where I'm going to put it! My Beetlejuice shelf will soon become a Beetlejuice room... Maybe we summoned him one too many times..."
