No Blast Effects for Cosmic Legions?

I have to say, Four Horsemen Studios’ decision not to include blast effects for their Cosmic Legions action figures is really frustrating. It just doesn’t make sense. When you’re dealing with a sci-fi line full of futuristic weapons, you’d expect them to come with some kind of blast or muzzle effects to make them feel complete. Instead, you get these awesome-looking guns, but no effects to go with them, which leaves the figures feeling a little lacking.

What’s even weirder is that they didn’t even design the guns with pegs or holes, so you can’t use effects from other companies either. Valaverse, for example, makes some cool blast effects that fit perfectly with other figures, but you’re out of luck with Cosmic Legions. It’s strange that they didn’t at least give you the option to customize them with third-party parts if they weren’t going to include the effects themselves.

Blast effects aren’t just some minor extra—they really bring figures to life. Being able to pose your figure mid-action, with a blast coming out of the weapon, makes a huge difference when it comes to display. Without that, the guns just feel incomplete, and it kind of takes away from the whole sci-fi vibe they’re going for with this line. Considering how much thought and detail Four Horsemen usually put into their figures, it’s surprising that they missed this.

Other companies, like Hasbro and Valaverse, are already including blast effects with their lines, so why not follow suit? It's not just about having more accessories; it’s about giving collectors the tools they need to make the figures look dynamic and cool. Fans love to pose their figures in action-packed scenes, and without these effects, it’s harder to get that kind of display.

What really bugs me, though, is the lack of compatibility with other effects. If Four Horsemen didn’t want to make their own blast effects, fine—but at least give us the option to use stuff from other lines. No pegs, no holes—it just feels like they’re closing the door on customization, which is a big part of the collecting hobby for a lot of people. Now, if you want to add effects, you’d have to go through the hassle of modding the figure yourself, which isn’t ideal.

This is a really odd move from Four Horsemen, especially considering how well they usually understand their fans. Blast effects aren’t a new concept; they’ve been around for a while, and fans have come to expect them in lines like this. It just seems like a missed opportunity, and it’s frustrating to see such cool figures lose some of their potential because of something that feels like an oversight.

In the end, this decision doesn’t ruin the Cosmic Legions line, but it definitely leaves a lot of collectors scratching their heads. These figures could be amazing, but the lack of blast effects—or even the option to use third-party effects—makes them feel incomplete. Hopefully, Four Horsemen listens to the feedback and finds a way to address this in the future. It’s a simple fix that could take these figures from good to great, and it would show that they’re paying attention to what fans want.
