How many times have companies tried to make action figures out of this property?  Hasn't McFarlane done this once before?  Happy for those who are excited but I don't see this as lasting.

Diamond, Threezero, Hiya, and most prolifically McFarlane... yeah. I don't think they ever set the world on fire, but somebody must be/have been buying these since they've never really gone away.  I suppose I might have an interest if they ever did a decent, middle-of-the-road line in 6-inch scale, but they always seem to be 7, or 5, or 3.75, or 12 or something else.

pretty sure these are just re-releases of the previous figures. which were great, they made alot of the characters, were easy to find, had nice sculpts, and decent likeness, then they changed the scale and had limited articulation and the line died

McFarland is so weird, why are these 5'' figures? this guy is all over the place, 5'' or 7'' but never the most beloved scale 1:12 for any of his things.

I feel like these have all been done before, and look like this, also just feels so outdated...do people who collect walking dead figures need more? are there new people trying to get into it? I mean I guess so, that show has like 10 spin offs and a new one each week, how do people keep up? I guess they do though.

Yep. Michonne and Merle looks to be rereleases of the series 3 figures. Daryl looks the be the series 6 figure, and Rick looks to be the series 8 figure.
For those confounded by these being 5", it's because these were 5" ten years ago, and they're the same figures. As for why 5" in the first place...? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oooh makes sense, so these are just straight up re-releases, Oh Todd, funny they seem to be being billed as New, kinda misleading then.

Well, the packaging is new and Michonne looks to be missing her poncho, so...kinda new. 😄

Why does Todd make these 5 inches?  I mean get into some more details and make them maybe 7 or 9 inches...

Yeah, the scale pretty much guarantees that I'd have zero interest in these, not to mention the fact that I barely see any likeness to the actor in the character faces.

it's interesting that for the re-releases they aren't trying the photo printing faces, i think that maybe could have made them more appealing for those who collect the originals? i don't get straight up re-releases when the originals aren't really worth much anyways

The Walking Dead WALKERS 5" scale figure 4-pack is now available for pre-order from our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth!

Set Includes 4 Walkers: RV Walker, Water Walker, Mud Walker and Charred Walker with accessories and bases. Based on the hit AMC series THE WALKING DEAD.

RV WALKER Under attack from this "RV" Zombie, Andrea fights back, attacking with a screwdriver. Our zombie figure simulates that scene with a flip-back head play-action and a removable screwdriver in its eye.

WATER WALKER Trapped in this cesspool of standing water, the Water Walker's flesh is literally melting off his body as it waits for its next victim.

MUD WALKER The Mud Walker figure exemplifies this gruesome character, complete with decomposing body and a worm coming out of his nose. You can also split this undead figure in half and mount his upper body on his mud-covered base with flash flood sign to recreate this iconic scene.

CHARRED WALKER As the Governor's Woodbury camp and Rick's group engage in full out warfare, one of the Governor's main weapons is sabotaged by fire and gasoline when his screamer pit is ignited in a ball of flames! But fear not, with brains intact this Charred Walker's taste for flesh continues!
