It's too bad we're not going to get her ultimate's version  I hope they still drop her at some point. Lord knows there's enough repainted Baronesses around

I was surprised those failed. Maybe a con exclusive down the line?

So Super 7 is going to continue the Reaction line, even though they're also doing the o-ring figures?  I feel like both lines are directed at the collector consumer and anyone who is into 3 3/4" Joes is going to jump head first into o-ring leaving all else behind.

Really? There were rumors the G.I. Joe Ultimates line was done entirely. I'm surprised after the heavy discounts on all the previous waves that they were even considering making more.

Actually that's not happening... In a last Brian Flynn interview he mentioned GI Joe Ultimates to star be a in stock items rather that preorders, because they noticed more people buying in stick figures than pre-ordering...😃💡👍

I don't quite understand you. People are definitely doing more in-stock orders than preorders because the items are being heavily discounted.  Just for example, GI Joe Ultimate Scarlett was 40% off shortly before Prime Days (during a massive Amazon markdown of all Super7 stuff) and she is 18% off right now.

There was definitely a rumor that Super7 was folding the G.I. Joe line. Flynn just dispelled it a few months ago. But the line is not in the healthiest condition (tons of wave 1 can still be found for less than half price).

Personally I don't like the slavish dedication to the cartoon.  That's always turned me away from the line.  I saw the last year at NYCC and thought they looked cheap.  I feel the same way about the Mattel MoTU cartoon series.  Certain things just don't translate from a 2d cartoon into a 3d figure.  I can't say how many people feel the same as I do, but perhaps its and indication why the line isn't succeeding.

Slavish dedication to the cartoon is the only reason the line is still limping along at all.  If they went away from Sunbow designs, no one would buy them.

The line is failing because of the price point, the existence of Classified (which features quite a few Sunbow and ARAh designs at a lower price point for better made figures), and the poor QA on wave 1 and the poor paint work on wave 2.
