Strange how this is a crowd fund of all things. These would sellout instantly if offered to retailers. The only thing I want is the Batman and Robin figures. Don't care for the vehicle. I still might back through, I'll see. This is offered before the long awaited Medieval Spawn Kickstarter is baffling.

Vehicles are nice, but they are squeezing those molds to the extent and quite an uncomfortable way to sell these figures

Struggling to understand why this needs to be a crowdfunded thing.....

I don't know .. I think it makes it harder in some way .. why I just can't pay for the item I just want to buy .. simple .. right ...?!

Because retailers wouldn't buy it.  Todd still wants to make it though so he's going to try and sell it this way.  If they could simply sell it to Target/Walmart/Amazon they would.  I'm guessing it's in part because the average consumer does not know who Black Manta is and therefore aren't going to buy his vehicle that takes of a large amount of shelf space relative to a single carded figure.

The average DC customer knows who Black Manta is.  He was just the centerpiece of two movies.  But I don't think his vehicle is in high demand.

Agreed WE know who Black Manta is.  But the average consumer doesn't.  A parent buying a present for a kid, or a little kid with birthday money probably doesn't know the difference between a Black Manta and a Black Panther.  My mother, who has been buying me toys for close to 40 years couldn't tell me the name of the character "the guy with the helmet that had the laser eyes in the fish movie" 10 minutes after we walked out of the theater last December.  Remember buyers for retailers want the product to appeal to a large customer base.

Am I missing something here? Why does this line need a crowdfunding? They vehicles so far seem to be a strong seller so why now ? It just seems to be a quick money grab to me but maybe I’m just over thinking it

I wished they would have used the Kenner sculpt of Robin ... instead of the repaint...!!
I love this line and it's just Great to see new stuff ...possible.
The 'new look' of Black Manta is attractive...!!
All of the vehicles look 'fun'...!!  I think I want them all...!!

$600,000 is a long way to go, ...isn't it.??

A part of me wonders if the McFarlane Super Powers line is not doing as well as everyone had hope in retail.  Or maybe at least, the vehicles are getting a bit hard to sell.   Maybe that's why it's being crowd funded.

Having said that, since 1 of the vehicles is a Bat Vehicle, the Bat Multicraft(Which looks like either a Batplane/Jet and/or a Batboat of sorts), I would of thought that 1 would of at least had a better chance of selling at retail.

Either way, I still think these could of sold in retail, but that's just me.

The McFarlane Toys DC Super Powers Sea Saucer & Bat Multicraft Collector's Club Drawing Board Crowdfund campaign which launched back on July 17th looks like is in serious doubt of getting funded with only a week to go before it ends. The campaign which features a number of different tiers to back and a minimum funding goal of $600,000.00 currently has only collected $137,883.00.

McFarlane plans on launching another crowdfunding campaign sometime next month (August 2024) for a 7" scale Medieval Spawn figure which he first started teasing back in February 2022.

While the DC Super Powers crowdfund campaign seems to be struggling and the upcoming Medieval Spawn one has been years in the making, McFarlane did manage to run a successful crowdfund campaign back in 2020 for his Original SPAWN Action Figure & Comic Remastered set.

It is not uncommon for these types of crowdfunding campaigns to get a significant boost in the final days, but with the current DC Super Powers campaign which still needs $462,117.00 in just a week, that would have to be one hell of a boost in order for those products to move into production.

Honestly, this seemed like a pretty silly thing to need to crowdfund.  I like the Superpowers line well enough, but they're not exactly high-end.  Don't the molds for every one of these figures already exist?  So it's not like they need to scrape up the cash for that portion of this, at least.

$600,000 is an insane goal for something like this. I have no clue who set this amount but they were definitely high at the time.

There isn't enough support for this line for a $600,000 crowd funding campaign.  It barely has enough retailer support.  I haven't seen one figure in a store in months.

I saw ... I think it was on gdl... that Todd did indicate these would get made anyway during sdcc.

Well thats good.

Maybe it will be a made to order type deal; like it should be in the future.

Doesnt give me much hope to see the Apokolips playset ive been waiting on since 1986 lol
