Hasbro G.I. Joe 2024 YoJoe June Fan-Stream Coverage

Recommended Posts

Ahead of Tuesday's YoJoe June Hasbro Live-Stream, new product images and listings have begun leaking out on the internet. Images have begun being passed around from an unknown source first reported by Nathan Kammerzell on Facebook giving us our first look at the new G.I. Joe Classified Cobra Stinger Jeep with Driver which is a repainted Cobra Officer figure as well as a Retro Cardback Cobra Soldier figure.

Listings a few days ago brought to our attention initially by The Full Force from Tharukkus and Terry Ruin included both of these items as well as the following:

Retro Cardback Cobra Commander (With some indication we could see a hooded headsculpt)
Storm Shadow V2
Alpine (Confirmed is coming by Hasbro previously)
Iron Grenaider
Iron Grenaider B.A.T.
Mad Marauders Sgt. Slaughter (We saw images for this one leak out several months ago)
60th Anniversary Marine
60th Anniversary Halo Jumper

Again it should be noted none on the list have yet to be confirmed by Hasbro. Also note there will be new G.I. Joe Classified pre-orders coming later that day after the G.I. Joe Live-Stream, some of which will be available at places like our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth.

As we get closer to Tuesday's live-stream I would not be surprised if we start seeing more product images leak out which we will of course bring you coverage and then of course full coverage of the live-stream itself which begins at 11am ET. Pre-orders will go live that day at 1pm ET.

We all knew the stinger was coming when we got the vamp. Quick turnaround on it thou and it looks great. The driver as well always liked his grey outfit as a kid he was my general for my cobra army. Like the retro solider too, but I'm wondering if that blue is the same as the regular troops we've already got. It looks brighter in the pics.

Shown below via the overseas auction site Weibo is a look at the upcoming G.I. Joe Classified Mad Marauders Sgt. Slaughter from Hasbro which will likely be officially announced by Hasbro on Tuesday's YoJoe June Fanstream. Thanks to the folks at The Full Force for the heads up.

Now sure the original source for these but via Heroes & Villains Toys & Collectibles we have some in-hand looks at the new G.I. Joe Classified Doc, Torch and both Sgt. Slaughter and the Spirit and Low-Light 2-pack for the Mad Marauders subline.

Doc and Torch are still available for pre-order from our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth. We may see the Mad Marauders figures go up on Tuesday.

I really like that Sarge comes with a ditty big. It's not itty bitty, but that's probably good for Falcon's sake.

So the retro trooper is just a straight repaint of one we’ve gotten a million times already? You would think they could’ve at least kitbashed a more accurate one.

It's not a straight repaint. It's damn close, but it comes with the head from the Cobra Officer and the web gear from Stalker and Retro Snake Eyes. I think using the boots and gloves from the officer, too, would have gone a long way toward getting a more classic feel, as would painting that web gear all black, if they had to use it.

Sgt. Slaughter sure is jacked for a guy lifting 6 pound dumbbells!

I am looking at a set here in my room, and the print comes from the outside up toward the bar... The ones with Sarge are printed upside down, unless he is always working out with 06 lbs instead of 90.

According to Sgt. Slaughter himself on X, there will be two versions of his new G.I. Joe Classified Mad Marauders Sgt. Slaughter figure from Hasbro released. The version without glasses and had on was the original figure to be released, but Slaughter vetoed it. So the second figure with hat and glasses was devised and the one approved for release. However a limited number of the first figure without hat and glasses got released so it will be more rare but will be available.

Well there's no way I'm not getting that Stinger. I mean Hulk did trash the VAMP but that's the kind of thing that can be repaired. The battles will be epic.

Well that's a little disappointing -- I wouldn't have expected them to be that lazy with a "retro" Cobra Trooper. 🤔  Not awful but..just not the retro trooper I was looking for.

I really thought I would prefer the version of Slaughter with his hat and glasses on, but the hat sits awfully high and elongates his head.

Makes the figure look really strange and throws off the proportions. Other than that, I freakin' love the thing!

Slaughter was always one of my favorites, and I remember sitting and waiting for the mailman every single day when that first mail order version came out... even though the order form clearly stated either 4 to 6, or 6 to 8, weeks for delivery.

From a kid's perspective, 6 to 8 weeks was a lifetime lol. When I did those mail aways back then, I was able to forget about them in like 2 week increments. So 2 weeks, then it'd be a couple of days where I'd the check every day, then another 2 weeks, etc.

Hope they do another run of the VAMP. still haven't been able to get one. Unlike seemingly most people here I'm really happy to get another regular trooper. I only buy 2 of every army builder they release but still managed to get a decent cobra army.

I started watching the very next day! lol

The weeks it actually took were excruciating... Like starting the wait for Christmas on the day after Thanksgiving.

I only have a couple of Cobra officers, so I too would be cool with getting a regular trooper or two.

Alpine is the only one that interests me… and I might just wait to see if they do a retro version

He is the most likely figure from this wave to get a quick retro version.

Does Alpine not have his glasses/goggles?

He does. The goggles and a second ice hook are apparently obscured by the cardboard. Word is, however, that Alpine has no backpack. So, he just has to carry everything in his teeth, I guess.

I like the look of the Iron Grenadiers, but it seems more like an Officer than a trooper with that tie. I don't like the Crimson Guard reuse but not enough to pass on this figure.
I never thought I would like a gold BAT, but slap that alternate head from the Arctic Bat on it's neck, and I love the damn thing. I'll be ordering two. (Rumor until confirmed later, but the word is that this new BAT has a clear chest plate, finally).
I really like this Storm Shadow. There's maybe a little more samurai in the design than I was hoping for, but I'm good with it. The only thing I'm not good with is the bow. That Shadow Tracker bow is just useless. We really need a drawn bow with a moulded arrow like the one that came with Old Man Hawkeye.

Last thought on these reveals: Way too much weapons reuse. I get throwing in the Alley Viper grapling hook gun with Alpine, but the AK style rifle is just wrong for him. I would prefer the Iron Grenadier have a unique sword for that faction, but I can understand putting the siegie swore in the loadout considering the siegie legs, and Destro's pistol and blaster make sense, but that Gilboa Snake (double barreled AR) is a terrible accessory, and I doubt the IG will hold it any better than anyone else. It's really starting to bug me that Joes are sharing weapons with their enemies.

Considering how terrible the weapons were in the first few dozen figures, I will take reuse if it gives us good guns.  The reuse of Grunt's M-16 is fine.  I like that the Joe laser rifle is easy to get.  Same with the Cobra laser SMG.  I also like Spirit's sniper rifle, so keep rolling it out.  The more guns they give us, the more peg weapons and nerf blasters I can retire.

Do we know if the Retro Trooper and Retro CC are going up?

Considering there are no leaked pics yet, I would guess that they will not be going up tomorrow. Last June they split up their reveals and preorders over four weeks, so I would assume they're going to do the same this year. I think tomorrow we'll get these four and these four only, then the retro figures next week, then the 60th Anniversary figures the third week along with maybe a surprise or two, and then the fourth week will be the Haslab reveal and crowdfunding kickoff.
