Chris Hemsworth May Lead Transformers GI Joe Movie Crossover!?!

The Hollywood Reporter is sharing news that the Transformers ONE star, Chris Hemsworth, may take a lead role in the G.I. Joe-Transformers Crossover movie as well.
 

Chris Hemsworth is doubling down on Transformers. The actor is in talks to lead an untitled crossover film for Paramount and Hasbro Entertainment that unites the Transformers and G.I. Joe franchises, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

 

 

 

The Paramount movie that was announced recently at CinemaCon 2024, appears to be double-dipping on the "ONE" actor that we have to ask: What movie is he not in this year?

Hard to say if this good or bad news, with this probably being an on-screen role instead of just the character's voice of Orion Pax & Optimus Prime in "Transformers: ONE". The well-known actor of the Thor character in Disney's Marvel films, will have to earn his stripes with fans to be seen as more thank just a G.I. Thor. Stay tuned, for more updates as we learn more.

Has he ever done a non-aussie accent? I mean, I haven’t watched everything but I have no memory of this in particular. I guess that would be the selling point for me… if he is indeed a Joe and not a Transformer

Never gonna happen with Lorenzo Di Bonaventura in charge of the franchise at Paramount.

I think this has to do more with the whole business of Paramount sale, this project might be good way to show that studio has promising future or something along similar lines and therefore this type of news make studio more valuable in they eyes of competing buyers, again I'm not doubting project itself but it seems like they might be hyping it more than usual due to sale.

Oh noooo, or I dunno? The whole idea of the G.I. Joe/Transformers crossover gives me shivers down my spine, did anyone watch the last Transformers movie and see the whole scene setting this up? because if you did you'd know it was already feeling really lame-o.

they need to scrap the whole transformers movie universe again, start over, stop making it so corny, and we all know what every G.I. Joe live action movie has been like, and that's not good, they need to approach this stuff with the proper audience in mind, little kids don't give a hoot about G.I. Joe, it's the adults who grew up with it...make it cool, not some nickalodeon TV special.
