Mondo Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Figure Tease

Recommended Posts

Inspired by 90s era TMNT design (with a touch of our love for Japanese sofubi), this premium soft vinyl line features articulated figures complete with weapons that can be wielded or holstered for a range of display. Designed and sculpted by Alex Brewer and Hector Arce, the line kicks off with fearless leader Leonardo and his killer katanas, plus brainiac brother Donatello and his lightning fast bo staff.

Just like Splinter taught us, we stick to together to kick some ass, including awesome contributions by Hilary Arce and Mark Bristow (Donatello Paint), Aaron Conley (Packaging Art), Jordan Christianson (Packaging Design) and LordBobasaurus (Photography).

Available Tuesday, May 21 at NOON CT at MondoShop.com with a suggested retail price of $90 each.

Wow, these actually look really cool. I like them a lot.

Yeah I love these, but 90 bucks for each one is too much for me, but I really like them alot.

I don't really go for the soft vinyl stuff to begin with, but the dimensions seem a little odd.  Maybe that's part of the aesthetic they're going for, though.  Nice, rich colors in the promo shots, I've got to say.

As a whole, I think I prefer Mondo's 1/6 scale stuff over their soft vinyl figures. I think it might be because the vinyl stuff is too stylized for my liking. This stuff would be cool for people that collect designer/art toy type stuff similar to what Kidrobot makes.

That Mondo Gecko is magic juice, wow looks super duper, but as much as I like me a skateboarding rocker Gecko the price is too steep, and I'm not climbing that hill.
