Hasbro Star Wars Fanstream May The 3rd Coverage

Hasbro today is holding a live-stream to celebrate May The 4th Star Wars day. We will be bringing you coverage of everything that happens over the course of the next hour. Some things shown today will be going up for pre-order tomorrow at 1pm ET at places like our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth.

 

 

The panel begins.

They start off talking about the Haslab announcement delay once again saying the delay is so they make sure it's perfect. There will only be one Vintage Collection reveal today. Still no word on when we might get the Haslab announcement.

Black Series Episode I Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan and Darth Maul 3 pack. The two Jedi are refreshes with soft good robes. Maul is totally new. This goes up for pre-order tomorrow at 1pm ET.

Now showing the single release Black Series Super Battle Droid and Darth Sidious which we saw images leak out for yesterday. Sidious will start with #1 on the packaging. These will be up for pre-order tomorrow at 1pm ET.

Also from the prequels they showed a Black Series 2pk with Yoda and Clone Commander Gree. Yoda comes with his Jedi Council chair. Has new hands, feet and 2 new portraits. This will be a Pulse exclusive going up tomorrow at 1pm ET and Disney Store later on.

Retro combined Ep 2 and 3 pack with Padme, Jango Fett, Mace Windu, Clone Trooper, Anakin and General Grevious. These will be Pulse and Disney exclusive going up tomorrow 1pm ET.

Black Series Captain Enoch and Night Trooper 2pk. Will be a Walmart exclusive going up for pre-order tomorrow at 10am ET. Baylan Skoll which was previously revealed will also go up on Walmart tomorrow.

For Vintage Collection they revealed their X-Wing Pilot troop building 4-pack which will be a fan-channel exclusive going up for pre-order tomorrow at 1pm ET.

I always think "I'm done with Black Series" and now I feel like this Yoda is an absolutely needed upgrade for me.

I like this Yoda. I'm not to into the angry face so much though, but overall he's a nice figure. The clone trooper is nice but I mainly want this set for the Yoda.

I really wish they had included a pre-Mace duel head with that Darth Sidious so we could use him as a Clone Wars Sidious, but he's a must have for me either way. The rest of this I think I will pass.  Someday I hope they do the Commando Droid or the Tactical Droid.

I have been wanting a ROTS Darth Sidious forever, I'm happy that it finally got made. I was looking forward to a prequel era Yoda but not paired with a clone so I may pass on it; would have preferred him and Sidious being the Two pack. The Duel of the Fates set looks nice, I may pick that up. I'm excited about Dagan, I would love it if Hasbro would include a removable arm feature.

I didn't watch the stream. Wasn't anything specific about the Darth Maul figure (other than being all new) said during the stream? How much of an upgrade over the original or archive version is it?
