Four Horsemen Legions Con: The Legend of Gassparr the Unamused and Gawrychh THE Unpredictable 2-pack

Recommended Posts

Announcing the first of the LegionsCon 2024 figure sets – THE LEGEND OF GASSPPARR THE UNAMUSED and GAWRYCHH THE UNPREDICTIBLE 2-pack set!
This limited-edition 2-pack set
is a fun tribute to none other than George Gaspar and Chris Gawrych of Four Horsemen Studios! Reimagined as a pair of half-orc adventurers who “travel the Realm fighting evil and seeking adventure”, this set is loaded with parts (see second pic) and options for swapping to create new looks.

Here are more details on this special set:

A dour monk who “dislikes amusements”, Gassparr the Unamused comes with a half-orc head, an alternate human head, prayer bead necklace, monk staff, nunchucks, a toy doll, fully wired premium soft goods robes, and alternate hands. Plus, exclusive to the LegionsCon edition you will also get a full set of dwarf legs and a dwarf head to transform this figure into a dwarven monk!

The “exuberant blademaster”, Gawrychh the Unpredictable, comes with a pair of swords and scabbards, a bladed spear, a wired soft goods skirt, and extra hands. Gawrychh is a master of the mystical art known as the D13, which has granted him mastery over 13 disguises. The figure includes a few of those disguises, including his helmeted half-orc head, a fully helmeted mask, a Jaguallian head with face paint, and exclusive to the LegionsCon show edition – a human barbarian head!

This set will be available on Day 1 of LegionsCon 2024 (Saturday, November 9th). It will come in show-branded packaging and will include the show-only bonus pieces. As we have done with all our show edition figures, we will also release a “standard” version of these two characters at StoreHorsemen. Those standard versions will be available sometime next year.

The Four Horsemen are excited to announce the 2nd figure set for LegionsCon 2024 – the Cosmic Legions “Amazing Alien & Creature Creator” 2-pack! This set will be available at LegionsCon on Sunday, November 10th. Here are more details!

This set was created with popping-and-swapping in mind! Everything from the figure parts, to the paint schemes, to the bios for these “T.U.5.C.C. Experiments” (which can be read on their website) lend themselves to allowing you to mix and match the included pieces in countless ways to create your own Cosmic characters!

The “Amazing Alien & Creature Creator” set includes a slew of extra parts, with a total of 2 base bodies, 8 sets of hands, 3 sets of gauntlets, 3 sets of feet, multiple weapons and accessories , 3 neck pieces, 2 sets of shoulder armor, and a total of 6 heads. Two of those heads (the red vampire and the T.U.5.C.C. helmet with the purple visor) are exclusive to the LegionsCon edition along with an extra pair of armored upper arms and an extra piece of waist armor. The LegionsCon edition of this set will also come in special “throwback style packaging” that will be designed exclusively for LegionsCon. Trust them when they tell you this is a set you may want an extra of to keep boxed for display!

As they have done with all show edition figures, they will also release “standard” versions of the figures in this set sometime in early 2025. Those versions will not include any “show only” parts and they will come in normal Cosmic Legions packaging.

Oh, and did you catch the fun little tribute nod in the bio on their website for “T.U.5.C.C. Experiment CC-24”? Yes – that is reference to our very own Diego! He liked this build so much, they had to drop his name in there as the mysterious facility where these creations came from!

LegionsCon 2024 takes place on Saturday and Sunday, November 9-10 at the Hanover Marriott in Whippany, NJ. Full details on this event, and links to purchase tickets now, can be found at LegionsCon.com.

I'm just not feeling cosmic legions as much as mythic. Anyone else?

I'm loving Cosmic! I do think they need to add some actual human astronauts (a la Major Matt Mason), and some robots, but till then, its rolling out well. This particular 2 pack though, I can safely say I won't be picking up. Its a drab color pallet (and I get it because of the "military" setting they're putting these guys in), but nothing new in terms of design that aren't already out. The only real lure for me here are the reptilian arms, which should have been on Noveunn Leen already. However I know these will be showing up soon in other figure variants anyway.

I just sold off all of my 4 Horsemen stuff, except for Poxxus and his horse.  Why do they keep reeling me back in?  This set looks really good.

I've done that twice now out of necessity and just because I fell out of love with them...I have a decent collection again but have stopped buying new items.

I need to do this. Their stuff looks good but it's fiddly and it doesn't go with anything else.  I've sold a lot of what I have, but I still have too many unopened Mythic Legions figures in plastic storage bins.  I should cash out.
