Instead of making this completely useless garbage, how about McFarlane focuses on increasing quantities of the characters that sell out in 5 seconds flat?

Check the front page....more figures on the way!

I wonder what percentage of DC fans want these kinds of one-off, novelty versions of more obscure characters like this. One would think that unique variations of more mainstream characters would sell better, but maybe the combo of unusual versions on top of obscure characters sells? I don't get it, personally. I never found one, but examples of unique paint schemes on mainstream characters are the gold-ish versions of Arkham Batman and Deathstroke. Would still like to have those. This? Melt it down and make a coaster out of it.

What are you referring to? Not seeing anything speaking to that question/issue on the homepage or McFarlane page. Older post? Not yet posted? I missed it?

He cut production because they overproduced and retail (which are his customers, not us) cut their orders to avoid that nonsense that happened last year due to the economy tanking post-covid and record setting inflation. Orders are made months to a year+ in advance of the items releasing. Buying habits were completely different then and when the figures late last year arrived those buying habits had shifted and all that extra inventory plus everything still left from the past year ( at that point) went on clearance and to Ross / Ollies. If that keeps happening then this hobby will die.

The line has also gotten more popular since he started doing more classic versions. These repaints are how you get nee figures in the future and they must sell because there are a lot of them now. Most of them are nice but there are a few weird ones.
