For anybody interested the black lion was in stock and orderable for a bit.  Looks like it's out at the moment.  Mine came in the other day and it's a big, chunky thing, was actually surprised by its bulk.

Wow these Voltron figures are actually super cool, I doubt I would find these in Canada, but if I did I'd likely just go for getting them. I always wished I had the cats mechs when I was a kid, never got them only ever had the pilot figures, but my cousin had the mechs and it was insanely cool.

Kind of saddened that the other individual lions haven't popped up for sale so now I've got to double dip on the black lion with the full set, but in the end it's worth it to me.  Had all the pilots and the Castle of Lions as a kid (which was a very cool playset), but not a single lion itself.  No one ever said filling a hole from one's childhood came cheap, I suppose.
