New Thundercats Comics coming from Dynamite Comics

A new era in Thundercats comics is here and being brought to us by the team of writer Declan Shalvey with art by Drew Moss and lettering by Jeff Eckleberry from Dynamite Comics. Here are some designs of Panthro, Lion-o, Cheetara, Wily-kit, Wily-kat, Slyhte, Mumm-ra and Tygra posted by new artist Drew Moss of what our feline friends will look like! Cover art posted here is by David Nakayama. Look for Issue 1 to release sometime in February 2024.

I'm not sure I can get behind Tygra's weird mustache, and the Wilys look like little creeps, but I'm glad they're trying to breathe some new life into the property.  Snarf, of course, is an abomination...

Sadly not a fan of these designs. Kittens look creepy and several characters' eyes look weirdly far apart.

The designs are neither positive nor negative for me. Seems like they are combining elements from both cateoons. After how great the story started to be for the later cartoon....  I just want to see good stories.  Hopefully they can also release some older comics.  Would love to get the dogs of War in trade.

The eyes being far apart on the character design lineup might be the result of the artist only drawing half the figure and then mirroring that to get a complete figure.

I know Drew, definitely not the case.  Just his style of drawing.
