This looks great and is a must-buy for me! Sadly the only Brainiac I still have on my shelf is the mostly robotic version 6" scale version from Mattel's DC Super Heroes line that preceded the DC Universe Classics line. I had a couple of different DC Direct versions over the years but never kept any of them.

Hopefully we get a classic brainiac maybe a gold lebal one

We’d either get one right away, or not for 6 years lolol

Well, now you have the chance for another! 😆

I hope he doesn't have an obscenely tiny head, because that looks badass in that teaser pic there.

Ha! The caveat on a lot of these McF multiverse figures unfortunately. If they only scaled up the heads by say 10% or so, all would be good.

This is pretty nice looking.  Supergirl's hair aside, I have dug McFarlane's general output for the Injustice stuff.

I agree, and even then, her hair isn’t too inaccurate even tho it’s not great

  • toynewman changed the title to McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Injustice 2 Brainiac & Superman 7-inch Figures

I pre-ordered the Brainiac but am passing on Injustice Supes and the weird 2-pack with Omega Bruce Wayne unmasked vs Battle Damaged Rebirth Batman. Those are just too niche for me and I already have the entire original Last Knight on Earth wave that had the Bane build a figure. I've got quite a few of the Injustice figures but just don't like that Superman. Great game, though - I've always personally preferred that Mortal Kombat style fighting platform to others like Tekken, Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom, etc.

Funny I felt the same way just in opposite.

It's the hair/headpiece combo.  I know it's fairly accurate to the character's design in the game, but it just looks so damn goofy rendered out in actual plastic here.

Brainiac: Looks good...in fact looks better and more worth the money from these shots than most of the "Collector" figs they've shown so far.

Superman: There are so many differences between the "reference" art on the back of the package and the figure itself that I'd swear the fig doesn't belong in that box. Does the character wear different costumes in the game? (Looking for at least something to explain it.)

The simple explanation is that the figure is based on the (default) game suit, and the art is from the comic that expands upon that world, filling the gaps.  He does wear different costumes, in that the 2nd game the outfits are customizable with different gear modifiers giving the characters different looks, but to my eye the McFarlane outfit is a decent representation of the default look.  I'm sure there are some deviations here and there that someone will be able to point out, but in this case for once it's really that the art that goes with the box being less accurate to the character's "true" look, ironically enough.
