First Look At 'The Toxic Avenger' Remake; Premieres At Fantastic Fest

Fantastic Fest is taking place in Austin, Texas from September 21st through September 28th, and Legendary Pictures will premiere the new version of the cult classic The Toxic Avenger.

The remake of The Toxic Avenger is the reimagining of the 1984 horror-comedy that finds a toxic accident transforming downtrodden janitor Winston Gooze into a new, mop-wielding evolution of a hero.

Oppenheimer actor Macon Blair is directing the film which stars Peter Dinklage as The Toxic Avenger, Jacob Tremblay, Taylour Paige, Elijah Wood, and Kevin Bacon.

Sooooo Does this mean Toxie is going to be short in stature in this version since he’s being played by Peter Dinkladge? Not sure what the polite way to ask this question is.

Worst thing about it to me is the fact it looks so POLISHED. Even HD copies of the original have a gritty look to them that gives them a distinct feel.

I'll still see it. Even if I'm skeptical about it, I still love Toxie.
