PostBlues.jpgWell, The 2023 edition of San Diego Comic Con is now over, and it kinda left us with a huge hole in our wallets, but also in our souls, didn't it? So many good toys, fun reveals, great panels... Whether you were there in person, or just following it via Youtube and social media, this year really did feel special. But how to go back to normal everyday life after this? Here is how you can deal with the 'Post Comic Con Blues'.

MEDITATION:

I know, I know. Some of you don't really do that kind of things. But picture this: Sit down and close your eyes, and visualize yourself walking through the aisles of the Comic Con. Stop at your favorite booth and just browse the shelves in your mind. Think of it as a 'go to your happy place' kind of thing, but with the NECA, Hasbro, Mondo, or any other of the SDCC booths as your happy place!

YOUTUBE:

There is a ton of great content that came out of SDCC in the last 4 days. Go to your favorite Youtuber (or Toytuber)'s channel, sit back and enjoy looking at things again, through a different person's eyes. Also, why not try some other channels suggestions on the side? You might find some nice new channel, or see stuff that you didn't see in other videos. How about those The Last Ronin ghosts hidden in NECA's Street Diorama at their booth? Or the teases during the Marvel Legends panel?

BUY TOYS:

And of course, last but not least: Buy toys! Only a small amount of the things that were revealed during SDCC is already available for pre-order, but it could be smart to make a list of all the things that were revealed that you would like to buy, just to keep track of them and be ready for when they actually drop. You can also come back to that list next year, to see what actually came out and what has been discreetly cancelled... (tons of Hot Toys or Mezco products suffered that fate, sadly).

And of course, there's always the next one! Power Con in August, NY ToyFair in late September, New York Comic Con in October... And that's not counting the small local toy conventions! By the time you'll have recovered from this one, there will always be another.

This year's San Diego Comic Con did not have any actors or celebrities appearances due to the ongoing Screen Actor's Guild strike, so the focus was on all the other things, which ended up being... pretty great actually! A SDCC without big studio presence turned out to be nice. Who would have thought? For a lot of us, it felt like the focus was actually on toys, since there was SO. MUCH. TOYS. It felt like more like a Toy Fair than a San Diego Comic Con. Anyone else feeling the same?
