Wow.  What a load of crap.  Toddy saves the great looking, accurate colors for an SDCC exclusive and releases the overly bright-gray one as a mainline release.  This feels like when he released the blue AzBats as a Walmart exclusive (that I never saw despite hunting daily for months).  But at least with this one I guess we had a shot at the mainline version on Amazon, so minor silver lining there.  The only option for that AzBats is Scalper-Bay for double or triple the price.  But jeez - this, following up on the heels of offering a second, better-painted Keaton Batmobile after so many people scrambled to get the first one - McFarlane is really sticking it to his customers bigtime lately.

Totally agree! These repaints are getting ridiculous. They're reusing bodys three to four times or more now. I don't know who's making these stupid decisions(most likely Toddy)but it's getting old. Quit fleecing your fans McFarlane and start with using traditional character details (like S on superman's cape when necessary) adding second head sculpt and hands along with multiple accessories instead of a whole second figure to buy as well. A small price increase would still be better than buying a second figure just for accessories the first one didn't have.

Todd practically invented the intentional factory variant and chase figures with Spawn and Movie Maniacs. He's never going to include multiple head sculpts and hands and accessories. It's not his style.

My standard version just showed up this weekend.  Both of these are great looking figures, but I'm going to hold off opening mine until I know for sure if Todd will release this SDCC version to the common folk or not (My crystal ball says it will happen).  Ideally I'd take the SDCC because his colors are just a shade darker and the black shadow effect is working for me.  But if it doesn't happen, the standard version will be just fine.  I think this is Todd's best Batman yet.

McFarlane Toys did an EQL lottery for their remaining SDCC 2023 Batman 30th Anniversary figures.  If you subscribe to McFarlane Toys, you would have received the email to enter this lottery.  I doubt McFarlane Toys has an inventory left over to sell on their store.

That's odd.  I subscribe to them and never received anything of the sort.  When did this go out?

Well, he has done multiple head sculpts already for a few. Hopefully Toddy has been listening to collectors lately,(although highly unlikely) fingers crossed for more accessories and hands. More soft goods capes would also be nice.

Yeah, but unfortunately that seems to be the exception not the rule. Too many times now Todd gladly resells the figure a second time by swapping out the accessories or heads.
