Universal Pictures, Lucasfilm, Sony Pictures, HBO & Netflix Skipping San Diego Comic-Con 2023

Recommended Posts

Maybe it's something in the water but according to Deadline, Universal Pictures, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, Sony Pictures, HBO and Netflix will not be attending the San Diego Comic-Con beginning on July 19th.

The no-shows are due to the uncertainty of the WGA strike that has failed to reach a deal with the AMPTP, and SAG-AFTRA and are still negotiating with the studios.  The studios decided against planning a major presence in case the actors, as well as the writers, are unwilling to attend.
