Three new NECA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic based figures have turned up on the Best Buy website.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mirage Comics 7" Michelangelo The Wanderer and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles The Last Ronin 7” Ultimate Synja Patrol Bot are listed as which we assume means they are at least for now Best Buy exclusives.

The third listing for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mirage Comics 7” Shredder Clones 3 Pack seems to be some oddly color variant and that one is NOT listed as only being at Best Buy, so I assume that one will eventually be available elsewhere.

NECA has seemingly been pushing hard in recent months to get their products on shelves at Best Buy stores which is kind of funny in my opinion since at least in my area all the physical Best Buy stores when they remodeled did away with their toy sections. Never-the-less in these modern times of action figure collecting it seems NECA is trying to expand it's physical retail presence beyond that of just Target, Walmart and Gamestop which means we can probably expect more exclusives to come to Best Buy, at least until Best Buy completely drops the selling of these types of products.

Maybe it's just me but... I feel like exclusives at Best Buy just seems weird.  I feel like that's been a thing before, I'm pretty sure there's been a few Star Wars exclusives in the past or something, but I can't for the life of me think of what they might have been.  Maybe it just feels odd to me because I don't really view Best Buy as a place to find figures, it certainly isn't in my toy-run rotations, but perhaps I need to reconsider that.

I was downright shocked a couple of weeks ago when I went in there and stumbled upon a few Super7 Ultimates on the shelves.

Some Best Buys have huge toy sections. Some have next to nothing but certain stores have very large multi-aisle toy sections and they carry tons of collector oriented items with exclusives out the arse. I couldn't believe it last time I was in our BB that is like this. They had an exclusive SW diecast from the newer larger scale diecast line that I had no idea existed. It's just a repaint variant, but I had no idea since I hadn't been there in a while and no idea it was a 5-6 aisle toy section.

this makes sense, I was figuring it was a comic art dealio, because well makes sense, either way they look really cool, but super not necessary, and well I don't even collect this line, so I'm not sure why I'm throwing my hat in the pile here 🙃

Precisely, these figures are painted to resemble the versions seen in the Color Classics reprints from IDW Publishing.
