It's Wednesday, and you know what that means: ToyFarce review!
This week, we're having a look at the black and white version of the Universal Monsters Dracula, as well as his Accessory Set, both from NECA. And only one thing to say: Wow! This figure is amazing. The likeness, the different hands, the cape... it is a perfect figure. "It belongs in a museum" like a certain daredevil archeologist would say. The Accessory Set, on the other hand, is a bit weak, sadly...

Dracula, as portrayed by Bela Lugosi in 1931, is a beautiful figure. He comes with 2 extra head sculpts, 5 extra hands, a cape, a top hat, a cane, a bat and a flight stand for the bat. The likeness on all head sculpts is spot on and that cape is really amazing. The fabric they used flows very nicely, and stays in position. It is double sided with a different color on the inside. It has a plastic collar to attach it to the figure. I would like all my caped figures to come with a similar cape going forward, please! Also, this figure is the black and white version, but if you have the colored version already, you can just switch the hands and head sculpt for a different outfit, the Carfax Abbey look, with top hat and cane.

The Accessory Set, on the other hand, is a bit disappointing. The most important part is the coffin, obviously, but it also comes with 4 animals: an armadillo, an opossum, a spider and a cricket in a mini-coffin. It also comes with a cardboard background diorama, as the other ones did. The Frankenstein set had the huge table with multiple parts, and the Mummy set, even if it had only the sarcophagus, had a lot of paint and details on it. The coffin, being pretty simple, feels a bit cheap, especially when you buy it for the same price as the previous 2 sets. It's still nice to have a coffin for Dracula, though!

More news at 11:00... "To die, to be really dead... that must be glorious."
