Paramount Animation Sets First Animated 'Transformers' Movie; Voice Cast Announced

Ramsey Naito, President, of Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation, made the announcement Thursday during Paramount’s slate presentation at CinemaCon that Paramount Animation, Hasbro, and eOne are teaming up on their first animated Transformers movie, now titled Transformers One.  The animated movie is scheduled to release on July 19th, 2024.

The animation movie is being directed by Josh Cooley from a script by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari.  Producers are Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Tom DeSanto, Don Murphy, Michael Bay, Mark Vahradian and Aaron Dem.  Steven Spielberg will executive producer, along with Brian Goldner, Brian Oliver, Bradley J. Fischer, and Valerii An.

Voices for the characters include Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Jon Hamm, and Laurence Fishburne.  The film will tell the story of how a young Optimus Prime (Hemsworth) and Megatron (Henry) went from being brothers-in-arms to sworn enemies. Johansson is voicing Elita, Key will be Bumblebee, Hamm is Sentinel Prime and Fishburne portrays Alpha Trion.

Then that's probably what the article should say.  There's a difference between people teaming up for "The first-ever" and people teaming up for "Their first-ever" thing.

Also rumored that there might be more than one animated movie and possible new animated series.

Yeah, but that's not what the Paramount executive said:

"I’m so excited and proud to be working with Hasbro and eOne to bring the first animated Transformers movie to theaters for a never-before-told story"
