New Star Wars Movies Announced Including A New Jedi Order One Set 15 Years After The Rise Of Skywalker And Sees Daisy Ridley Return As Rey

Today at Star Wars Celebration Europe Kathleen Kennedy announced that three new Star Wars movies would be developed with James Mangold, Dave Filoni & Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy directing them.

James Mangold's movie will be about the “first Jedi to wield the force”.

Dave Filoni's movie will be about “escalating war between the Imperial remnant and the New Republic” set in the Mandalorian time period

Finally the Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy movie will take place 15 years after the events of The Rise Of Skywalker, and be about “rebuilding the new Jedi Order”. Daisy Ridley will be returning As Rey for this one.

Announced last month at Celebration Europe, Dave Filoni is working on a film set during the Mandalorian time frame. There is now a rumored title going around the internet, via @MyTimeToShineHello

Shocker (not really): Dave Filoni's movie is called Star Wars: Heir to the Empire. Jon Favreau is only producing for now. It's all Filoni
