'Dungeons & Dragons' Live-Action Series Ordered By Paramount+

Hasbro’s wildly popular Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game franchise has received an eight-episode, straight-to-series order from Paramount+.

The pilot script for the adaptation is being written and directed by Red Notice filmmaker Rawson Marshall Thurber wrote the pilot, and will be a co-production between eOne and Paramount Pictures.

eOne and Paramount Pictures are partnering on the Dungeons & Dragons series after also co-producing and co-financing the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves movie.

Ooo this means Hasbro will be able to release lots of thoughtless garbage sculpted out of scale with each other action figures. They will be able to re-solidify thier inability to make worthwhile product for an oceans depth of already established content.

Its not a choice. Its a directive from the major shareholders who threatened to sue Hasbro for not boosting the D&D IP they have held hostage. They want the IP promoted through all forms of entertainment.

Drew Crevello has signed on as executive producer and showrunner of Dungeons & Dragons, Paramount+‘s live-action series based on Hasbro’s wildly popular fantasy role-playing game franchise.

Series creator Rawson Marshall Thurber wrote the pilot script and is set to direct the first episode, while working with Crevello on the eight-episode, straight-to-series order.  Production with eOne and Paramount Pictures, with eOne as the lead studio.

CRevello is credited with developing movies such as Deadpool and X-Men: First Class, co-created, executive produced, and was the showrunner for WeWork Apple TV+ limited series WeCrashed starring Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway.
