McFarlane Toys - DC Multiverse Page Punchers Aquaman Wave

These are always interesting designs. I'll be picking up the father/son combo of Jackson Hyde and Black Manta but will be passing on both Arthur and Orm. I prefer the Endless Winter Aquaman and Gold Label Ocean Master that I already have to these designs.

Yes, Page Punchers are by far, the best thing McFarlane is doing right now. Not only do they (finally) showcase the other non-Batman DC heroes and their villains, but they're also done in amore modern styling that does a (slightly) better job or disguising the trademark diapers. I almost bit with the Flash wave, I really did, but I'd been bitten by far too many of McFarlane's products and swore them off late last year. I'm fighting the desire to pre-order these now. They look good. They look real good, but I gotta resist. Maybe I'll just wait and see how they turn out and pick up the winners, I dunno. McFarlane has got me twisted. Now, if they were to carry over the Collect-To-Build process into these Page Punchers and we got to build another character, and not necessarily a larger character, but maybe one of the more obscure ones, I might be forced to submit. Till then, I'll be a little bit more cautious.

I was originally only going to get Aqualad and Manta, but that Ocean Master has grown on me too. I think I'll pre-order those 3 and skip Arthur.

Edit: I was very pleasantly surprised to see BBTS has these priced the same as everyone else this time. I entered my pre-order with them for everybody but Arthur.

Just gotta limit myself to Manta.  The Orm looks good, but it's coming too close off the heels of the Target one, and I'm not such a huge fan that I need multiple versions.  The Aquaman is interesting, but the plainness of the armor just kind of looks out of place and ruins the rest of the detailed design for me, and again I've already got my share of Aquamen anyway.
