The first official teaser has been released for "Barbie," the eagerly anticipated romantic comedy. Based on the Barbie doll, the classic toy franchise by Mattel, the upcoming live-action film follows the adventures of Barbie (Margot Robbie) and her on-off romantic relationship with Ken (played by Ryan Gosling).

The star-studded cast includes Simu Liu, Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, Ncuti Gatwa, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Issa Rae, Emma Mackey, Alexandra Shipp, Ariana Greenblatt, Michael Cera, Rhea Perlman, and Kate McKinnon.

"Barbie" is scheduled to open in theaters next summer on July 21st, 2023.

This film will either be a car crash or the most fun thing in a while. Looking at those images, I'm hoping it's campy silly fun that never takes itself serious.

I hope this is in the same vein as "Josie and the Pussycats" movie was.
It took a cute premise, played it silly and became meta at times.
A fun watch for a relic of the 00s.

From the set photos it looks to be a half-ironic camp fest, and I’m all for it!

Honestly, this looks like a train wreck in the making. The humor isn't funny. Who is their target demo here? Women 18 to 54?
