20th Century Fox is moving forward on the next movie in the Planet of the Apes franchise with 'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.'  Freya Allan is set to star in the production with Owen Teague as the lead ape.  The additional cast includes Peter Macon.

The project is being directed by Wes Ball, from a screenplay by Josh Friedman, Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and Patrick Aison. Joe Hartwick Jr, Jaffa, Silver, and Jason Reed are the film’s producers, with Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping executive producing.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes starts an all-new chapter in the Apes saga, picking up many years after the conclusion of 2017’s War for the Planet of the Apes.

Wes Ball? So it's going to be a YA fest then?

I wouldn't expect it to be. Ball directed the Mazerunner movies (had to look him up), but the writers of this new Planet of the Apes movie also wrote War of the Worlds, Black Dahlia, Terminator Salvation, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Jurassic World, and the Planet of the Apes movies from the last decade, so the screenplay probably won't have a YA feeling.

Mazerunner were YA films and with the Star being young, I have a sneaky suspicion they might go for a younger audience though hopefully not. It was an underrated trilogy and the only good thing Fox had for a long time

Macy (“Fargo”). The screenplay is by Josh Friedman (“War of the Worlds”) and Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver (“Avatar: The Way of Water”) and Patrick Aison (“Prey”), based on characters created by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver, and the producers are Wes Ball, Joe Hartwick, Jr. (“The Maze Runner”), Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Jason Reed (“Mulan”), with Peter Chernin (the “Planet of the Apes” trilogy) and Jenno Topping (“Ford v. Ferrari”) serving as executive producers.
