Todd Phillips’ Joker sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux, now has an October 4th, 2024, release date.  The date was elected after Warner Bros. Discovery kicked Batgirl to the curb.

Warners is banking on a repeat performance as they released the first Joker movie in October 2019 and the film went to a domestic opening record level of $96.2 million.  Altogether, the film cashed in $335.4M domestic, and globally it is the highest-grossing R-rated movie ever at $1.07 billion.

The Joker was nominated for 11 Oscars including Best Picture and Phillips for Best Director and won two Oscars: Best Actor for star Joaquin Phoenix and Original Music Score for Hildur Guðnadóttir.

Production is scheduled to begin in December.

The whole idea of this movie scares me. A Musical? ....a Sequel to a movie that should have been a 1 shot peak into a strange man's world, how money makes it all work...but please just because you can doesn't mean you should.

lol u mean this clickbait article:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-10913705/Lady-Gaga-signs-play-Harley-Quinn-Joker-MUSICAL-sequel.html

actually read the article itself, they clearly say shes in early talks for a role in the film and they even mention how joaquin phoenix isnt even officially in the cast yet either. dont worry, when it actually becomes official it will be very known and literally posted everywhere
