During Hasbro's SDCC panel, there were some Black Series and Vintage Collection pipeline reveals for next year's 40th anniversary of Return Of The Jedi.

Yafkace.com shares this look at the upcoming Black Series Return Of The Jedi 40th Anniversary Boba Fett figure. Seeing as it includes the accessories from the deluxe figure, I'd expect a higher price on this one; it may be a fan channel exclusive.

Revealed during the 2022 Hasbro Pulse-Con Star Wars Panel, here's a look at the official images for the Return of the Jedi 40th Anniversary versions of Biker Scout, Han Solo (Endor), Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard Disguise, Princess Leia (Endor Poncho), and Wicket the Ewok. As revealed by Screen Rant a Star Wars The Black Series: Emperor’s Royal Guard & TIE Pilot Figure 2-Pack from Hasbro is coming! The Chewbacca with the new headsculpt looks good. It's good they are releasing the Stormtrooper again gives people a chance to army build.  Of course this would have been a great opportunity to release a proper Throne room duel Luke and a ROTJ Darth Vader with removable helmet, oh well.

Collider has provided a look at the Return of the Jedi's 40th Anniversary With a New Gamorrean Guard Black Series Target Exclusive Figure from Hasbro. Hasbro's new Gamorrean Guard action figure goes up for preorder on December 14 on Target's website, and will retail for $33.99. It is expected to ship sometime in the spring of 2023, which coincides nicely with the anniversary of Return of the Jedi on May 25.

A Kenner homage and no throne nor Force Lightning hands.

Such a bummer:  I was planning on getting all the RotJ carded figures, but these and Carbonized are easy passes

I still like the Palpatine, but Ackbar is a definite pass for me. They should’ve done Luke or pretty much anyone else, except maybe Lando

Here's my theory with Lando (and I guess Palpatine)

 

They began production on the Archive line.  Retailers did not order as expected, and possibly even canceled orders, leaving all these completed, painted figures sitting in some factory somewhere.

They immediately stopped printing Archive cards, and decided to print new RotJ cards for this huge pile of unsold Landos and Palpatines.

That does make a lot of sense. There’s landos and Palpatines for miles at my local targets and Walmarts so that’s very likely
