Playmates Toys Announces 6" Street Fighter II Vs TMNT Figure 2-Packs

Last year we got TMNT Vs Cobra Kai and this year Playmates Toys announces new 6" TMNT Vs Street Fighter II 2-packs. The first wave coming out this fall which you can see below includes Ryu vs. Leonardo and Chun-Li vs Michelangelo followed by a second wave which will include Guile Vs Raphael and Ken Vs Donatello.

This is really exciting, which is a rare thing for anything coming from Playmates but I'm interested in Chun Li, I would say there's 90 percent probability I will get this if prices are retail and they are indeed as good as they look in promos. Fingers crossed Cammy will be the next one with Raphael + it will make sense since they already have legs that can easily reuse for Cammy. Even Turtles by themselves look pretty good, probably the closest thing we have for a later comic tmnt look.

This is actually pretty cool, I gotta say the Turtles don't necessarily interest me since I already have Classic Series turtles, and these just look like Playmates usual thing by re-purposing those figures by adding new deco, these have new heads though so it seems, The Street Fighter Figures here are really pretty cool, I know already if that Chun-Li looks as good as it seems to in this picture I'm going to get it, but I might just have to get all of these for the street fighter characters.

As other's have said, Chun-li looks pretty good. I've been wanting a nicer version to replace my SOTA one. SOTA did some nice male figures but the women were weird lookin'.

TBH I'd rather Playmates just did a SF line. Those look great. The turtles are the same garbage legends ones that nobody wants. I want an SF to update the flawless SOTA ones (QC was garbage, but still pretty). Don't like the Stomr ones, everyone is too bulky, these look great

While I love the idea of this, I really think they needed to redesign the turtles. Turtles are supposed to be short, but leonardo is dwarfing Ryu. Plus Playmate are always loose right out box.

yeah it looks like Ryu is fighting a dude in a ninja turtle mascot costume.

Great concept...surprised it hasnt been done before actually. But the execution is a little flawed. The scale is off between the characters. And keeping the comic-style feathering on the turtles while the capcom fighters are relatively clean seems odd to me.

Yeah I'm still waiting to see some better pictures of the Street Fighter figs.

I kind of wish they would have pictures of the SF figures facing forward to better see their faces. I get that they are presenting them as though they are in 2D, but still. I prefer seeing figures from more than one angle before deciding whether or not I want it.

I hope the reason we don't see more pics isn't that figures look so much worse from the front.

Chun-Li does look really good, but I'm thinking I'll wait for what Jada toys is going to do with their Street Fighter figures, because it usually turns out these TMNT vs lines only have so many sets and it's done, looks like Ken & Guile are next, then probably not much else.
