Mattel today just released new officially images for upcoming Masters of the Universe Origins figures. Shown are Pig-Head, Space Sumo, Digitino, King Randor, 200x He-Man and Teela with Zoar Creature set.

Not Mattel didn't give a breakdown on which waves these figures would be released in but rumors have suggested that Digitino and King Randor would be in wave 9. Also the Teela With Zoar I believe will be exclusive to BigBadToyStore and Entertainment Earth.

No word yet one when any of these will be available for pre-order.

In for Pig Man and King Randor. Digitino and Space Sumo look too basic, like knockoffs. Not sure I want 200x He-Man. Not sure I need another Teela that doesn't look much different from the one I already have, but I probably will anyway for Zoar.

I was hoping for some Snake Men and Horde reveals.

King Randor is definite, maybe Teela since Zoar is included. I thought we'd get a Masterverse reveal but it's all Origins which is ok. Not really feeling the others much.

Because they are knock offs. And I say that as a someone that likes knock offs. Sometimes. Pass on pig man and sumo, but Teela, he-man 2x, Zoar and Randor are great. If they are doing knock offs, They should make the Remco Warlord, Hercules, Pirates of the galaxies, Even AWA/NWA retro wrestlers, Ect

Not super thrilled by these reveals, don't think I need another Teela just to get the bird, King Randor is a nice addition, but not so sure about the Sun Man supporting characters, Pig Head looks cool, but those other 2 look quite boring, I will definitely be needing Randor, and Likely get Pig Man and maybe Space Sumo, likely Digitino is out for me. I think it's interesting they are branching out and doing these Sun Man characters, but do we need them all? I was cool with Sun Man himself but I didn't know if we really needed anyone past Pig Head, so many MOTU figures from the Original line up we still need and tons of other great characters we still need before Sun Man's randos.

Man I am super excited that they're finally dipping into 200x as that was my first exposure to He-Man. I don't collect Origins, but I hope this means they'll make some Masterverse 200x figures. Any 200x is good in my book!!!

Mattel continues to reveal new Masters of the Universe products this week and for today we get looks at more Origins stuff. Shown is Mantenna, 200X Skeletor, Grizzlor, Leech with wall sucking ability and Snout Spout. Besides the figures we also have a look at a new vehicle coming to the line with Skeletor's Roton. Like before no other details on how or when these figures will be released have been revealed.

best guess is snout spout will be a deluxe considering the extra head with the water squirt gimmick . I wonder will Kobra Kahn get similar treatment ?

Mantana and Snout Spout likely will be Deluxe.

MAYBE Skeletor 200x. Never cared for the other silly characters. Glad to be saving money. Also Mattel please bring back Bravestarr in some form.

Silly my arse. These are what the line is all about.

These are some of the figures I've been wanting most. It's really cool that Snout Spout comes with both toy and animated heads. He, Mantenna, Leech, and Grizzlor were some of my favorites as a kid. Roton was my most wanted vehicle left. Now the only vehicle I need is Night Stalker, who is pretty much guaranteed at this point. In for all of this except I don't really need 200x Skeletor.

I’m all in and this seems like a good sign that they must have confidence in the line in order to branch out this much but I do wonder if these non-MOTU characters will perform as well.  I feel like from a consumer standpoint one of the struggles of the line is that it seems like each retail location ends up missing a couple of waves because the system has become designed in a way where a retailer that doesn’t instantly sell through on wave ends up getting skipped over on the next wave which means if your dependent on buying these all at one retail location you only ever see half the figures.  It’s a broken system where any figure that ends up hanging on the shelf for more than a week ends up getting labeled as a peg warmer (instead of being thought of as…. You know…. Inventory, which is a good thing and something a store/toy line should have and carry at all times so that a customer can just wonder in and casually but the product without it having to be “a lucky day” but instead we have this goofed up system where if those pegs aren’t immediately drained then you’ll never get the next wave and your store will get passed over).  Anyway—all this to say, I dig the figures but I suspect there will be some “peg warmers” here.
