Looks like pre-orders for Super7's first wave of Godzilla Ultimates will be going up soon. Today they released this teaser image. We know Super7 has plans for Godzilla Ultimates this year because they announced as such last October. I don't yet have any specific dates on when these pre-orders might go live but thinking probably by next week sometime. Stay-tuned for more details as they become available.

Wow, I watched the interviews with Pixel Dan and Toy Bro, I really liked what I heard about Super7 plans with this range, the first Super7 figures I'm going to get.

Following up from last week, Super7 has released a second teaser for what I can tell you is their first wave of upcoming Godzilla Ultimates figures. Super7 say the battle begins tomorrow (3/16) which means the figures will be going up for pre-order tomorrow. They will probably hit the Super7 website around noonish ET and and then other places like our sponsors BigBadToyStore and Entertainment Earth at 3pm ET.

I can't tell you the specific figures in the wave but will tell you they are a bit more expensive than a normal $55 Ultimate figure. Likely due to the increased size. Check back tomorrow for full details on this wave as they become available.

Well Brian Flynn finally got me interested in something made by his company, although I must admit I'd have liked to see something from the Showa era starting the Godzilla Ultimates line, but well maybe in the future, my wallet is waiting.

Ugh these will likely be amazing, but I can't with Super7 and their price points and lack of availability in Canada, I would be in on most things Super7 if it wasn't for those issues, here in Canada we don't even get these figures and we need to import them the price with exchange and shipping is a wallet vampire, I gotta say no, and I hate it.

Shown below are Super7's first wave of Godzilla Ultimates figures which are available for pre-order on the Super7 site now. These should be available at places like our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth at 3pm ET. The figures cost $85 each.

Super7 is kicking off the Toho line of ULTIMATES! with the stars of the 1989 film, Godzilla vs. Biollante! A scientist learned his lesson about DNA tampering the hard way, accidentally creating a hybrid rose monster containing the DNA of his deceased daughter. Meanwhile, terrorists have released Godzilla from its volcanic prison within Mt. Mihara, setting up an epic showdown between the two kaiju. Recreate your favorite moments from the film with these 8” tall, intricately detailed, highly articulated ULTIMATES! figures of Godzilla and Biollante!

Godzilla
Godzilla has been freed from Mount Mihara, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake as it roams across Japan! Measuring a monstrous 8” tall and 14” long, this highly articulated Toho ULTIMATES! figure of Godzilla features premium detail based on its appearance in the 1989 film Godzilla vs Biollante. Accessories include interchangeable heads & hands as well as a battle-damaged hand and Biollante vine wrap to recreate their epic battle. But this is no time to stop and smell the roses! This intricately sculpted, made-to-order Toho ULTIMATES! figure will only be available for pre-order for a limited time, so don’t miss out!

Accessories:

2x interchangeable heads
Neutral head
Roaring head
7x interchangeable hands:
2x claw hands
2x fist hands
2x expressive claw hands
1x battle damaged left hand
1x Biollante wrapped vine neck piece

Biollante:
Anyone can sympathize with Dr. Shiragami’s desperate attempt to preserve his daughter Erika, but tampering with her DNA was only destined for disaster, as evidenced by the monstrous rose-hybrid that became known as Biollante. Measuring approximately 8” tall, 8” long, and 10” wide with its vines reaching out, this Toho ULTIMATES! figure depicts Biollante in its rose form with articulated vines and leaves, featuring premium detail based on its appearance in the 1989 film Godzilla vs Biollante. This terrifying monster is a result of mixing human, rose, and Godzilla’s DNA- how will the King of the Monsters defeat a foe as formidable as itself? For a Kaiju collector, the real terror would be missing out on adding this made-to-order Toho ULTIMATES! Biollante figure to their collection!

Accessories:

2x interchangeable heads
1x Neutral head
1x Roaring head
6x articulated attacking vines
2x removable vine heads (with poseable jaws)
2x battle-damaged vine heads (with poseable jaws)

Both look solid, the Godzilla looks better than Neca's version in its body proportions and headsculpt, the rose form Biollante is a little conventional proposal but it should work until we have a final version Biollante, imagine the size it would have, the only point con, IMO, is that Godzilla doesn't include an atomic breath accessory.

These look awesome and I’m kind of sad to say unfortunately I’ll probably need to pass on them.  It’s a combination of price and space.  In the room where I keep my movie and tv show toys I have 1 shelf designated as a split King Kong/Godzilla shelf and while I could maybe squeeze in a couple of these that shelf is getting fairly full to where I couldn’t fit an entire line of these.  Also while I enjoy Godzilla I’m just not sure my personal appreciation of that franchise is high enough to dedicate more budget to it.

if space and money was unlimited I’d be all in but given all the other IPs I like more I probably won’t get to add these.  Maybe if they have a special edition one off release at SDCC this year I’d pick that up at their booth but I can’t dive into this as a whole line.

In a recent interview Steven's Toy Reviews had with Brian Flynn he hinted that we could see Destroyah in wave 3 or 4 as well as Burning Godzilla.

Oh wow the monster that killed Godzilla- that's awesome. What else in wave 2?

Super 7 give us another look at the wave 2 figures from their Toho Ultimates line. although I think they should focus more on showing us the prototypes in more detail instead of showing the promotional photos again.

The Mecha Godzilla looks more impressive to me now.
