ToyFarce News: Scammer Caught Selling Aquarium Decor As "Handmade Dioramas"!

Header.jpgDid you know that your local pet store's aquarium section is a treasure trove of diorama pieces? Mossy rocks, jungle plants, ruins... you'll find lots of cool items that you can use in your toy photography! Obviously, they won't have cyberpunk, sci-fi or street corner types of dioramas, but you may find a few props that will look nice in the backgrounds of your toy pics! Unfortunately, a scalper decided to take advantage of it... Why can't we have nice things?

ToyFarce was contacted by the owner of a pet store who explained us that a person kept coming and buying all the aquarium decor in their store. "I knew that something FISHY was going on!" said the owner. After further investigation, it turns out that that person was a scalper, and was reselling all the aquarium decors... as "handmade dioramas" for up to 20 times the retail price!

The GFAL (Goldfish Aficionados League) said that it was also an issue for them, because it led to the aquarium decors prices to increase on the secondary market! "It's getting out of hand! I would now have less trouble finding a PS5 than 'Moss-covered Rock n°14', and we have to resort to eBay prices to decorate our aquariums!". ToyFarce asked the goldfishes for a quote, to no answer.

Those sets look cool. What's the link for scalper's auctions?

We don't post links to scalpers' auctions here. Also, since this is ToyFarce, which is satire (like The Onion), I'm 99.9% sure there is no real auction to link to in the first place.

That's too bad. I was really looking forward to overpaying for some plastic ruined castle miniature. Maybe I'll check Amazon.
