Hello everyone!

Not sure if this is the right place to post, I apologize if it is not. New to this.

I found this little toy in my mom's things. She passed away in 2007 and I'm only now going through everything. 

From what I could gather, this little toy is probably over 100 years old, but I can't find a manufacturer, or really anything else like it. It's roughly 7 inches long. The word 'Nova' is embossed on it, but that's been a dead-end for me.

Would anyone here have any idea how old it is, where it is from, and how much it may be worth? Thank you so much for your time.
