PicsArt_12-24-10.33.29.jpgIt's December 24th, and we would like to wish all toy collectors and toy lovers worldwide happy holidays and merry Christmas!

During that time, it's not uncommon to see presents under the Christmas tree, a tradition that we personally do not get (if Santa Claus is supposed to deliver the presents on Christmas Eve, how do you justify having presents sitting under the tree the whole month of december?). One thing, though, is that thanks to our very trained eye, we can help you recognize if a present is going to be a toy or not!

On that picture, you can see different shapes and sizes of presents. The ones that are the easiest to decipher are the figures on cards, or blister pack, since they have that unmistakable shape with the flat cardboard on the back and the bubble in the front. Even if it's will packed, you can still possibly see the shape. A mid-size rectangular box could imply that you are getting an action figure that comes in a box, like the McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse line, Hasbro's GI Joe Classified or Star Wars Black Series, Mattel's Masters of the Universe Revelation or a NECA figure! A box that is more square than rectangular could very well be either a lego set, an import figure (MAFEX or SH Figuarts) or even a Mezco one!

If the box is rather small and rectangular, on the other hand, it might be that a loved one's present will be a Funko Pop... Sorry.

My friends and family are way more sly then this, they always wrap things in ways you cannot tell, like boxes inside boxes or things with other things, I got a box today that was huge, no way it could contain any toys I knew of, yet it had a pair of pants, socks and well some figs hidden under those. I wish it was all this easy.
