Speaking of Scary Movie, it's clearly time for a new Scary Movie that goes back to its (Scream parody) roots and brings back Shawn and Marlon Wayans.

You mean scary movie 6 that goes back to it's roots with the Wayans bros producing that's why 1&2 are the funniest. There is already a scary movie 5 it's the one with Charlie Sheen Snoop dogg Mike tyson it's horrible not worth remembering

I'm not sure why Kevin Williamson didn't write this movie since he wrote the four other Scream movies.  This movie was written by James Vanderbilt & Guy Busick.  I'm definitely going to miss Wes Cravens in the directors chair...

Yeah, I completely forgot there was a fifth one. Never saw it.  Anyway, considering this one is technically just called "Scream" again, they should forget the numbers entirely and follow suit with calling it "Scary Movie."

It's called Scream because Spyglass bought the rights to the movie franchise from the Weinstein company when they went bankrupt.  So it's a new start for Spyglass so they are calling it Scream instead of the next movie in line which is number 5.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this. I really hope the woke insanity that has destroyed so many other franchises won't be present or, at the very least, won't replace story and the legacy of these characters.

My theory is that one of the kids in the cast is the son or daughter of either Billy or Stu. Billy could have easily been cheating on Sid and the same is true of Stu and Tatum. My guess is that the mother is Judy Hicks, which is why she was featured in Scream 4 and returns here. Maybe her son or daughter read about the history of the GhostFace killers and then decided to get revenge on Sid for killing his or her father?
