I applaud Warner Bros for their no gun policy. Kids like toys, they will buy these just like any others if they like the characters. These figures are amazing! Love love love the horse BAF. I will be curious to see how balanced it is. Whether or not the horse will be able to actually hold Batman up like in the picture or not.

So the target audience for Frank Miller DKR based Batman figures are kids? Okely dokely. We should probably go back and censor the book and remove the gun from Joker's hands there too while we're at it, you know, for the kids. What does not including guns make applause worthy? That's going to stop violence in your estimation? We should work infinitely small to big in that area by not including tiny guns with toys that are clearly aimed at adults? Don't you think they should get rid of the crowbar too in the 3 Joker figures? I don't think it's in there because Joker used it to open a crate. Or, we could leave it up to the PARENTS of said kids that aren't going to be buying these toys and folks like yourself can throw the guns out when you buy them. Or you can choose to buy or not buy them altogether and being allowed that choice instead of a silly mandate that appeases the under 5%. I didn't hear of any sort of "outrage" these toys had guns from concerned parents and if there were I'm sure they have zero intention of buying this tiny guns or no tiny guns. I have heard many complaints the other way that they don't though.

We got our first look at this wave the other week, but now McFarlane Toys has released official images and details for their new DC Multiverse Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Build-A-Line which includes figures of Batman, Superman, Robin and Joker which are based on the classic Frank Miller storyline. Each figure comes with a piece so you can build a horse for Batman to ride on. You can pre-order these now from our sponsor EntertainmentEarth.com. Look for them to be released in January 2022.

You have to get out of your head who the so-called intended audience is with these. That's immaterial. When you go into Target or Walmart where do you go to buy these figures? You go to the TOY DEPARTMENT. The same department that has fisher price toys for kids and DC Multiverse. Corporate business execs at WB, Target or Walmart are likely not gonna differentiate an action figure that you and I know are made more for adult collectors over one made for little 4 yr old billy. And companies like McFarlane are 100% gonna want to see these carried in that toy department where they no more eyes will be on them by casual passer byers (Adult Collectors, parents and kids alike) than they would if say they were off over in some corner designated for "Adult Collectors". McFarlane just like Hasbro with Marvel Legends may know adult collectors are buying these but they also very much hope little Billy and his mom see BATMAN and buy them to. And again Batman is Batman. Little Billy and his mom isn't going to know Frank Miller from a hole in the head.

Going to be seeing; The "Ebay" Bat Horse market open soon. Save those "Bat" pennies, boys and girls!!!

Glad to see my girl Carrie (again) and can't wait to get my (pre-order) DNR Mafex No.139!!!....

I will wait for you, my Carrie!!! Hey, make sure you get your "Bat Oats & Bat Straw" for your Horse ;^)

Are those extra hands I see? Open hands and closed fists? No trigger fingers?!

I really want that horse for other toy lines. The Superman body is great too...Maybe I can head swap and have a beefier, basic Man of Steel. Now I'm off to justify purchasing a wave for a Build a Horse and a custom fodder...

Welp, even though I'm still enraged at McF because of preorder store-exclusives fiascos, I want these from my fav Bat story of all time and I'm going to preorder the entire set in a nice convenient, no-exclusives no-hassle manner.

. . . Just a quick question, am I the ONLY person who's tired of them releasing the same 4-5 figures from this comic, over and over and over again?

- DC Direct did Batman, Superman, Joker, and Robin.
- DC Collectibles did "animated" versions of Batman, Robin, and the Mutant Leader.
- MAFEX did Batman (blue), Batman (black), Batman (armored), Superman, Joker, and Robin.
- Mezco One:12 did Batman (blue), Batman (black), and Mutant Leader.
- Amazingly, it was Mattel (of all companies, seriously?) that did the most, with Batman (blue), Batman (black), Batman (armor), Superman, Joker, Robin, Mutant Leader, a Son of Batman, AND Wonder Woman and Flash from DK2.
- And now McFarlane is releasing . . . Batman, Superman, Joker, Robin, and a horse (which is cool, but I can get a 1/12 scale black horse ANYWHERE for any of the previous figures), and they already released an armored Batman.

Seriously, I can't be the ONLY GUY who wants Two-Face, Oliver, Gordon, and some Mutant Gang members? I know that NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS are we going to get a Bruno figure, but still, it would be so cool to get Abner and the Dolls, right??

I'm only interested in the 1/12 articulated horse. Aside from mythic legions (which is kinda pricey) and figma (pricey and too small) where can I get one?

Lord of the rings horses are good. You might try those. I use them for several things.

Oh yeah, I've heard about them... How do they scale with modern figs?

I need to correct myself.. I actually want 1/10 scale since I wanted to use them with Neca Phantom and for Mcfarlane Geralt.

I actually did put together some custom DKR figures back in the day. Made some Mutant figures, a couple more SOBs, mods to Bats and Robin and Supes, even made an Oliver. Planned to do more . . . .

Well, for The Phantom, his horse Caesar was a white horse, and if you need a roughly 7" scale white horse, MOTU Classics "Arrow" can be found on eBay for under $100. Only need some half-decent paint skills to change the rainbow mane and tail, he'd likely be a good fit.

As for Geralt . . . I mean, the LOTR horses are more 6" scale (I use a modified black Nasgul horse for my Mattel DKR Batman), so I don't know if they'd work great, but Aragorn's horse is brown, so it MIGHT work with Geralt.

However, if you're looking for something slightly bigger, and you're not picky about articulation, collectible doll-scale horses are a BIG industry (particularly Bryer Horses), and you could probably find DOZENS of static-pose horses online in the size you want, if you just need a display piece.

Hmm.. i thought Phantom's horse was named Hero.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. Not too fond of that MOTUC Arrow but I might check out those LOTR horses. Upon checking Ebay, the prices aren't too bad for them.

😅😆😂🤣

I couldn't remember the horse's name, so I just did a quick Google check, "name of The Phantom's horse" and it came back with a quote from an article saying "in the original novel, The Phantom rode a horse named Caesar." So that's what I posted.

Turns out Google was a little confused. It thought I was asking about "The Phantom of the Opera." *LMAO*

So . . . we're BOTH RIGHT!! Just . . . COMPLETELY different Phantoms! (Oops. My bad! *LOL*)

Here are a couple of pics of my lotr horses so you can see the scale. Also don’t overpay for these. You can find them for 20-25$ on eBay and Mercari fairly regularly. Just be patient. Since Geralt calls every horse he’s ever had roach I think you can go with black, brown or white.

I get it, McFarlane comes out with some over the top or unusual things/ideas every now and then like this build a horse, but he dares to be different. Who else would give you that? nobody else to date lol.
